Thread: OT : What Feature of Poser/Daz is missing? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Another thing that would be handy is a texturing room. That is a room where you could draw and paint directly onto texture files using built in tools like in GIMP. A room like that would have file management tools build in so that you didn't overwrite (destroy) the original files.

Have used cinema 4d from time to time. I don' t know how it compares to the other apps mentioned, though.

I 'd like to see the text value colour change on a dial that had been moved from the default. Also the option to add a slomo dial when IÂ want. (IÂ know you can change the sensitivity settings, but it is messy changing back and forth)

I totally agree. I caught an episode last week while channel surfing, and at the end, i couldn't care less if they all lived or died. Visit alien planet, get alien disease, get caught in time loop, find antidote blah blah. Next thing IÂ watched was an old episode of Dark Angel. What a contrast !!

One area to cut the expense without cutting corners (if you are considering building) is to ask for an OEM version of XP from your component supplier. This is a lot less than the consumer version, and you are entitled to it if you are buying the components and building yourself. There is no difference (other than the price) between it and the normal version.

We use Dell in work. My last one burnt out after 18 months. My current one has lasted almost 3 years though. One thing about Dell machines is that they never seem to operate as well as their spec would suggest. I always build my own. Its not the money saver that it used to be, but I can have exactly the machine I want. Its a good learning experience too.

I have exactly the same problem. However, I do not want to turn off AO. (from looking at the Poser demos and lighting set, this seems to be the norm) Are there any other ways of removing these peculiar artifacts ?

Thanks FrankT,
I'm disapointed to hear this, but at least it puts an end to my frustration. Next time efrontier ask what I would like, this is going on the top of the list.

Thread: V4 + morph dialing + plenty of magnets + 1 week = total HOTTIE | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Based on what I saw here I downloaded V4 plus hi-res textures and from the very first test I was amazed at how well the model looks. This is the first female model (from either DAZ or Curious Labs) since the P4 woman (Posette to her fans) that looks good out of the box. All of the others required extensive tweaking to make into some kind of reasonable good looker.
V2 and V3 were both extremely solid around the middle and very broad-shouldered ladies, Jessi's limbs were totally out of proportion (at first glance she looked like an alien) and her chest was most unnatural. And as for the P5 woman, was she modeled from the boss's girl friend or something ?
Congratulations Tguyus on your work so far, and well done DAZ for getting it right at last.

Started with p3(free). Bought p4. Upgraded to p5. Hooked on p6 and only connect to the libraries of the others.

What to do ? Well how about a group to review the commentators ? These could remove/modify the rating/comment priveliges from anyone who gave out consistently excellent/lousy awards. Alternatively, members could have a fixed quota of rating points to hand out per month. This could be overseen by the same group as above Then we need a group to oversee the reviewers, in order to weed out any signs of unfairness. And so on .. Qui custodiet custodies.
