Thread: Please offer opinions on my painting effects | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi LadySilverMage; I don't know why you would believe these are not worthy as gallery images, they are quite nice. However I can understand your frustration. Your looking for that perfect or near perfect feeling when it's done and your not getting it...right? And as the artist, you would know, no matter how much we may tell you it's good stuff already ;-) Have you tried mix and matching? I like elements of the first one and I also like elements in the second, and vice versa, maybe if you kind of tried variances. It is actually amazing how different the model looks just by what you have done here, isn't it...I mean the change in character itself, same face, but they look different all around. The hair in the first one is definetly more flaring, I like it, but you may want to try and go hog wild and just see what you can do with some curling and waving as well, maybe more highlights, and maybe even let some strands "loose" more cause hair does that sometimes and it can help get that bouncy or windy effect which can also look good. The hair in the second is too "tight" for what your saying you want, or maybe the word is "flat" I am looking for, but I do like the jewellery. I really like the outfit in the second one, but you may wish to change the color scheme to see what effect that has overall. I like the jewellery effect added onto the clothes as well. And it works great on the legs. Personally, I don't think your giving yourself enough credit, your doing quite good with this although I can sympathise with your block, it can happen so easily when we are looking for that certain end result and just can't quite grasp it the way we think it should be ;-) But it sure is coming along quite wonderful and at the end of all this your gonna have quite a nice collection of pics ;-) And since you will probably have a very nice assortment of Lady SilverMage fashion clips, may I suggest a collage perhaps? I think it be real cool if your put all these pics together and had all the variances in one great big collage, can you imagine the possibilities? And with varying backgrounds as your doing too? Great!! Just a thought....look forward to seeing more.... Cheers.

Hi Peoples'; Geez...I agree with both Strangechilde, (two dogs) and Valender, (posette out of the box has always been cuter). Hi jenay; My apologies for replying off track there but gg77 irked me with a passion with that remark. Maybe it's cause I have two dogs too, and they are cute also ;-) Anyways, my take on this? Dina, although perhaps she is different with various qualities that some folks may actually look for, if you are looking for a logical choice based on availability, resources, quality standard set by the long time Vicky has been around, extensions, such as the various geometric files that make up Vicky and thus are a part of so many other various character clones and spawns or sisters and children, then Victoria is the ways to much diversity ;-) I suppose it would be like a choice between a Honda and a Subaru car, (hope that is a good comparison), neither car is bad, in fact both cars hold much in quality value and style and potential, however if you look at the fringe benefits and the amount of available additions and extensions and just how many more are around and how many folks have one compared to the other, it does make your choice somewhat easier logically. Unless you don't mind waiting, or getting something that is at this time very functional and rare, but may not allow you the same poser landscape of things already at your beckoning the moment you got Vicky, it is your choice. Looks you cannot base it on really, cause Vicky was not at all a pleasant sight when she first came to be and it has taken quite some time to get her as appealing as she is today, and still those knees, I wish those knees would be better. Some folks have called Victoria a cross-eyed anorexic amazon.....others have called Dina a huge wrestler with shoulders like a bull. They never are supposed to stay as you first see them on the screen, it's not like posette where what you see is what you get, Victoria and Dina are artistic manipulations that take effort and time to accomplish, not just a prop up on a shadow and render away. It's a matter of how many morphs they have at their disposal as well or what you can do with them. And at this time, as mentioned above, Vicky has way, way more all around. Cheers and good luck.

Hi welcomesite; No offense, but that's not very nice at all. Legume does have every right as a "member" to speak up as much as you do so how is this not his business; that is like saying it isn't yours either. We can't be so insecure or paranoid as to start hanging everyone that comes hear that even "sounds" the slightest off base, you know how many language barriers and just average "ignorance" due to various factors exists in this CG community; not meaning that in any bad way. If we start going this route folks will start second guessing even posting anything here cause who knows, just asking any question the slightest bit "wrong" and I, you, anyone can be found to sound "fishy", and that's just not right, is it. Where will that bring this community. There are two moderators here in this very forum and several online all over renderosity at any given time, if you really do think this is not kosher, contact them cause they get stuff like this all the time and are used to how to read into this, and if there is a problem, I am certain, in fact I trust them to know how to deal with it at that point and quite quickly too. Cheers.
