Quote - RnR they don't tend to have many morphs in them, except the basic ones, but I converted some to bulkier figures with Wardrobe Wizard and it worked out okay.
Actually, I should get that M4 plugin and try and see if I can get the pants to fit him. :)
Wow, that's a bummer. But I'm glad you figured out how to transfer them. Would I find this "Wardrobe Wizard" at Renderosity or DAZ? I have an old version of something similar, I might should look into it to see if it'll still work. Also do you know, where I can find a hoody like the one you showed?
That sounds like a good idea. :)

Poserworld is your place for those, RnR.
Give it a try. Tons of content there, and I have some really cool looking cargo pants for David.
Yes, it's subscription, but it's worth it.
I've never regretted getting the lifetime sub and it has paid for itself ten times over.
Wow, thank you, Silke! :) I'll have to check into that.
I'm paticularly interested in the hoody and the loose pants for my character.

I admit, I only own the M4 Base and texture pack so far, so I can't say I have much experience with his clothing yet. But though I have limited experience with his clothing thus far, I would say this problem applies to quite a few different figures.
For example, David. There is very little clothing out there for him. And it's very frustrating, especially when you have a very custom project your working on.

Like all of you, it's not that I'm trying to complain or gripe. I respect the work that goes into making clothing, I'm sure it is a tasking process. Sure, people could make their own clothing (with extensive research), or could find other ways such as painting clothes -- but it would sure be nice to have more options for those times you'd like to use your labor in other areas of your renders. And having more variety of styles would be nice. :)
Just my 2 cents.

Great!! I'm glad it worked for you too, Doran! I don't know about you, but it certainly makes Poser a lot faster when in the hair room. Now I can make dynamic hair more comfortably and Poser moves along a lot more smoothly. Thank you for your comments!
And thanks again to all who helped! :)

Thread: poser 7 keeps locking up on me | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh, okay.
Here's how you access the page file settings to change them. Right click on "Computer" or "My Computer" (You can usually find this on your start menu or on the desktop.) It should bring you to something called "System." Click on "Advanced system settings" on the left. Then it should bring you to "System Properties." Once you're there, click on the "Advanced" tab. Then click on the "Performance" button. Then you'll see "Performance Options." Click on the "Advanced" tab. Where it says "Virtual Memory" click on the "Change" button. Under "Custom Size" (in the middle) enter "10240" next to "Initial size (MB)" and "10240" under "Maximum size (MB)." Then click on "OK." The amount entered is dependant on how much memory you have. I'm not sure if you should enter this or something lower for 2 Gigs, but you may want to play around with the values.
Hope this helps!

Hmm, okay. Have you tried setting your page size to 10240? Sometimes when you have a lot of memory, setting it to be a lot higher like that helps. Does your computer seem to be behaved aside from your Poser troubles?

Thank you so much!
I'm a Vista user, however your instructions still helped me find the directory. For Vista, this is the directory you might want to look for it in: C: Users AppData Roaming Poser 7 Poser.ini. Hope that is helpful to any Vista users using Poser!
Thanks again! I'm going to see if that works now. :D

UPDATE: It works! Thanks to all who've helped me with this issue! I hope this thread is of help to others!

Okay, I've ran into a problem. I can not find any "Poser.ini" file for Poser 7. I would think it wouldn't be stored in an other location... But is it by any chance stored somewhere else?
Thanks!

Quote - Set "HILITE_BODY_PART" to 0 in the Poser.ini.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'm going to try that now. :)

Quote - I tried everything under the display menu and nothing seemed to work. I don't think this can be turned off. I agree with RnRWoman, this is irritating.
It is isn't it? Especially for those zoomed in shots when you're trying to get little tiny polygons selected. :P

Quote - If you have access to practically any modeling application, you'll find that selecting polygons for this kind of purpose is MUCH MUCH EASIER. Poser's Group Editor is terrible compared to pretty much any other tool.
I have ZBrush, CInema and Truespace. Will any of these do the same thing? I'm unfamilar with grouping in this way in other programs.

Quote - There is an option to switch this off, but I'm at work and I can't remember it. Look under the Display menu for something like "Show selection outline...", and untick it. As I say, i can't remember exactly what the words are, but it's there!

Thank you so much, I'll have to try that! :) I'll let you all know if it works.

Ah, okay. Have you tried any of the other suggestions? I think increasing the page file size sometimes helps. How much memory do you have on your PC? Are you running XP or Vista?
