Bad luck - I am in germany, that this is not a download version (and that it is not for Mac).
Otherwise I would have bought there also.

Thread: does poser 8 work in new mac Lion os | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I installed yesterday Poser 7 at Lion, there was no issue - I was also very curious, but for me (!) it looks like that P7 works fine.
Of course until now I have just done some small test-renders, but all I tryed worked.
Maybee that the issues relate to things I don't use, I don't know - for me P7 is just for setting up materials.Ā
With P8 I had also the small issue regarding first install and now the missing icons.
I think also many problems will occur because of the change in the permissions, we will see what else is now "running wild" :P
To be sure I've a backup of my SnowLeo-System, so I can switch back - I set up a virtualized OSX (10.6) if I need to run a programm which is still PPC-Code.Ā
So there was no risk for me, all others should think if they want to be early adoptors.
(Jesses... I need some sleep, my english is really getting bad...)Ā

Thanks, that works fine.
A little bit curious: with Poser 7 there are no such "problems" - it works very well!

Thread: Help! Installing content on Daz using a Mac | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Content here at renderosity does not come with an installer, so you must do it all yourself - as RHaseltine already mentioned.
What you must do: unzip the downloaded package(s), you will get a folder with more or less subfolders in it.
Just copy the content from the runtime-folder into the runtime folder where your DAZ-content is located (you specified it when installing daz).
For example: you look into the runtime dir and see "geometries", "libraries", "textures"... the files inside these directories must be copied to the fitting folder at your DAZ-Content-Dir (look there inside "runtime"-folder).
Be careful!!! If there is already existing a folder with the name of a folder which you want to copy OSX will overwrite the existing folder! If finder tells you that there's already a folder with that name, abort! And then look inside the folder of your unzipped-content, copy by hand the files from inside this folder into the correspending one at your daz-content...
If you are not sure where it is just look at the preferences -> Content Library -> click there at "Content Directory Manager" -> a new window will pop up, take a look at "current dictories", double click at "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats" -> it'll show you where your DAZ-Content is located at your system.
Pfew, hope you understand my crappy english :P - english is not my first language...
