Will fixing the issues with Chrome fix the issues with IE, FF and Safari? Let's not pretend there's only one browser in use here. Just because one or some people prefer it doesn't mean we all do.
I live in a large metropolitan city, within the city limits. My ISP is our local phone company, not Comcast. I have absolutely no issues with any other site's pages loading. They load more or less instantaneously when I click on them. I do in fact know of someone who lives in a rather remote area and uses HughsNet and has no problems at all with downloading, so I find it hard to believe it's the ISPs that are the issue here.

My father used to accuse me of being 'a Pollyanna' when I was young. Heh...I'm an optimist too about a lot of things - until they prove not being worth my optimism.
Maybe when and if the vendors start complaining they'll listen. Hate to say that but, I think really it boils down to that.
You can threaten to spank a child all you want, but if you never do, they'll just keep doing what they were doing and ignoring you. It's kind of the same principle - ya know?

Don't think that just because only a few people are posting their problems here that it isn't widespread. Not everyone will come here and complain even when they've been encouraged to do so.
I don't have a complaint with RMP downloads because I haven't tried it lately. It is true that downloads from the Freebies section are very fast. HOWEVER, when I go into the RMP and try to look at product pages, it takes anywhere from 25 to 40 seconds for the page to load, and even after it loads, it's still rearranging itself in the Description/Editorial sections, repositioning the stacks of images in there. That does not happen anywhere else on line to me. I am not on Comcast. This is really frustrating when trying to look at anything. It is as was pointed out above a disservice to both your vendors and your buyers.
Maybe you're not going to like this, but I'm going to say it anyway. There seems to be a certain arrogance at work here about "it can't be us" when clearly no other site we go to has these issues. Blame it on the ISP. Making people run comparison tests is bogus. Neither Art or Rod are 'whiners' and neither am I, but we are not being listened to and so we are back again with issues. There also seems to be a certain arrogance about people threatening not to buy or to leave. It's like you don't care and somewhere you're laughing up your sleeve saying "They'll be back." Maybe they will and maybe they won't. However...some buyers are to blame for this (ahem) because they keep buying in spite of their unhappiness and their issues.
As for e-bots and mail-bots, I'm on Yahoo and they come whenever they feel like it - sometimes right away but mostly much later than they used to come since this all started. They're not going in my spam folder. They're just taking forever to show up both on site or in my mailbox. Yes, the galleries and comments are working much better and thank you for that! Still, these other things are serious issues that need to be dealt with. We're not complaining for 'no reason' or because we like to. We're complaining because this is the ONLY site this happens on - that's why.

Now, not only is there the issue with the bots and the friend requests, but pages are back to taking forever to load, pages timing out and navigation around the site being a general p.i.t.a. It has been especially slow over the weekend. You may be happy with your programmers but the rest of us aren't!

My mail-bots aren't going to the spam folder. They're just slow in coming, but they're faster than the site-ebots. Sometimes the mail-bots are slower than other times.

There has been delays since the 'maintenance' with receiving e-bots and mail-bots, much like caty77 says above. Also, I have a Friend Request that I cannot approve. I have tried 5 times now and it just doesn't work.
Every time something gets fixed, something else gets broken. Do these people know what they're doing?

Nooo, not particularly. I posted in a different thread 2 and half weeks ago about the slowness of the pages and images loading, buttons having to be clicked on 2-3 times before they worked and it's just gotten worse. I'm not the only one. I see it in comments every day that the site is 'buggy' or 'slow' and people are having problems. I had to wait today for probably a minute for this one gallery page to load, and then when it did (after about another 30 seconds) I got a red X in a little box, like it wasn't to be found.
My notification that I had new images to look at was flashing, but when the page loaded I simply got the 'Old' button...until about 40 seconds later, it finally decided to show me the new stuff. This is inexcusable for any site and it only happens on this site - no other.

During this last week, the pages on this site have been taking forever to load. When I click on a notice to see an image, many times the image is NOT loaded and I have to sit there and wait for it to load. I can see the text but not the image. This all seems to have started after whatever was fixed at the top and bottom of the page - where we were getting the message that "reference is deprecated".
Thread: Couple of issues regarding site ! | Forum: Community Center
I am getting the same error Image-Edit posted with the advertisements covering part of the text here. I do have a scroll bar. Also, the pages on the site are not loading properly when I go to open up someone's image...getting the little black box as if the image isn't there to be found. Have to reload the page sometimes to get it to finally show and everything is SLOWWWWWWWWW as molasses in January. Also experiencing delays on notifications as mentioned above.

Quote - The issue has been mentioned, but I feel it needs to be said again. The small box for writing and commenting needs to be fixed or returned to its original format/size. Switching to another browser is not a fix. At this point I am wondering if there is going to be a fix, some sort of notice or repy is appreciated.
Thanks,AD
Sorry but I have to agree with this. Switching to another browser is not a 'fix'. It's a bandaid. I do appreciate that a lot of things have been fixed, then again the change should not have been published until it was beta-tested on all browsers. Many of us have mentioned/complained about these tiny comment/text boxes since the change over and nothing's been done to address that.
Thanks!

The new look is most unaesthetically pleasing and it does hurt the eyes - in several ways. I see you toned down the white a bit with some greyish masks but it really does little to improve this look. All I've heard/read is complaints.
My main points of complaint:
The colors in the forum boxes would be nice to use on the site. They're very readable and don't hurt the eyes. Some of us spend hours on our computers as it is: setting up and doing renders, working on figures, working in Photoshop, emails, and other things. To come here and have them assaulted with these colors is not good. Dark grey or black page backgrounds show images off much better than these blues - for both 3D art and photographers. Even a soft pearl grey would be better.
My biggest issue is the text boxes and the size of the page at 100% however. I have to crank my zoom in my browser up to 150% just to fill up the screen and be able to actually see an image and read comments, text, etc. The comment and 'Notes' boxes are ridiculously small. The comment box takes up a fourth of the space there - the rest is wasted. The Notes box for uploads is particularly awful and that slider bar on the bottom just makes it worse - especially if you are a writer. The slider bar jumps to the left as soon as you load your text, and somehow paragraphs are reformatted. It's hard to see what you're doing/writing. Please fix these boxes.
If you made your changes for Windows 8 and the pads/tablets and phones you have only enabled the online shopping experience from those devices. I only know one person out of all those I know who could afford a tablet or pad that might be capable of rendering in any 3D program and he doesn't do 3D art. I only know of one person here who even uses a laptop. We are on pcs and macs here and you have effectively made this an unpleasant experience.
