The graphic had disappeared for me, too, and only recently reappeared. The link always worked, if I clicked on the space the missing graphic occupied. I'm not certain why the graphic was not there, but I'm guessing it had something to do with a minor bug in IE 5.5. I suggest that a small text link be included under the graphic link, so folks who have this rare problem will still be able to find the link.
Thread: The authors are loosing money! | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
As a creator of seven products at the Renderosity Online Store, I can certainly sympathize with what you're saying. However, I have three reasons to keep my merchandise here exclusively: 1) The Admins here are working to fix the problems. I believe they will, and soon. 2) Renderosity and Renderotica are such valuable resources that I'm willing to be patient as they get their act together. I want these sites to stay online, and the Store is a major source of their income. I appreciate the foresight and faith the Admins have shown all of us in this community by creating and improving these wonderful sites. 3) Loyalty, earned by the faith mentioned above. -- TL

Thanks, Ironbear! Something I neglected to mention is that these materials are intended mainly to be applied to imported Poser clothing items.
Thread: Looking for model of a Huey | Forum: Bryce
Pardon the irrelevant comment. I was in the Vietnam War. And I was rescued by a Huey. But for me the two events were unrelated. I got rescued by a Huey off Mt. Whitney in 1964 after getting trapped on the mountain that summer during an ill-planned climbing attempt. Later I was in Vietnam in the Navy, but rode no Hueys there! ; )
Thread: TROJAN IN POSER PATCH !!!!!!!!!!!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have been battling "Spyware" since I first learned about it a few months back. Curious Labs has clearly placed spyware in the new patch, but are lying about it by saying it doesn't access the Internet, when all evidence says it does. I have firewall software installed, and so I will install the patch for all the stuff it fixes, while keeping Poser from accessing the Internet. But I resent the fact that Curious would sneak trojan spyware into Poser. I can't express how mad this makes me, and how little I will ever trust Curious Labs from here forward! As far as I'm concerned, this action by Curious is totally unethical, and if not technically illegal, should be.

Wonderful design! I suggest trying a camoflage material, with a weathered bumpmap. That should reinforce its military aspect, and look even cooler, too!

Thanks for showing us those awesome stats, Jack! Nothing like facts to settle disputes among reasonable people, which definitely includes you, Taz -- and me, too, I hope! ; )
Thread: I've had enough.... My final post. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ikoyto, I agree with your position entirely, but silencing yourself isn't the answer. That would only make the voices of those who oppose what you believe in seem louder. We need your voice here, and at 'Rot!

Taz, you have no idea of the bandwidth or the file storage that's required by this site. This ain't some penny-ante personal site (like mine is, for instance)! This is a free service of professional quality, with thousands of regular users. I'm amazed that this site, and Renderotica, have been up so long, considering the costs. The bandwidth of 'Rosity alone would be enough to drag down many an ISP. Get real, and think before you type. The only problem I have with ads is that they don't pay much. I get about 1,000 hits a day on my site, and never got a single penny from the ads I ran for months. Almost any business setup that the admins here can come up with has my support, if it keeps these sites and their wonderful resources available and free! 100 MB storage? 3,000 MB per month bandwidth? That's not even in the same ballpark as what these sites require! Just because you state that you know the business aspects of running Web sites doesn't make it true. Obviously.

I'm VERY impressed! These look like perfection to me. I have a "geisha hair" that I got somewhare, but it is very simple indeed. Just a spheroid hair and a spheroid bun. I think you're already doing far better, but if you really want this, please email me: ThralLord@thralldom.org

Thread: Multiple figure scene | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Then why not try rendering the background in Bryce, then importing that to Poser as a background, and rendering one figure, saving the results. Then repeat with the next figure, but use the previous rendering for the Poser background. Keep repeating for each figure. You can always add additional shadows in post. Would that work for the scene you're working on?
Thread: Multiple figure scene | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have no idea, aside from a suspicion of memory problems, what's going wrong. I don't have a Mac, and that just adds to the mystery for me. Do you plan to render this in Poser or another program such as Bryce? If not in Poser, then why not pose each figure separately as I do, and then export them to the rendering program?
