You can define the figure's center using the Joint Editor. Alternatively you can load a prop, patent the figure to it and rotate the prop. Adjust the apparent rotation by moving the figure relative to the prop. Set the prop invisible for the render.
Hope that helps.
How does one "patent" a figure?

Interesting . So it only works on the render itself? Not with the User/Perspective viewport? I'm hoping for a plugin that does a lot more than that. One that works with all the Poser workflow in real time will be nice. A plugin that replaces the Poser Perspective viewport with VR goggles. But that's still in the future by the look of things.
The only VR application that allows one to actually model/ add materials/ bumps and lights in real time seems to be "Medium" which is an Oculus only program and limited to "sculpting" at the moment.
It's also a simple thing to add Oculus integration to Unity and pretty simple to import Poser stuff to Unity. But it will be terrific to work with Poser itself in Virtual Reality without any fuss.
But the Octane plugin is a great way to view the completed render with immediate updates, that's for sure! A good start indeed.
Have you tried "Medium", Wimvdb?

Thanks, wimvdb,
Does the Plugin for Octane allow one to actually create/ model figures/ objects etc etc from within the Poser program itself whilst viewing the Scene in VR? Or is it just another render engine that requires or deals with an imported Poser scene? I'm looking for a "decent" VR app that allows one to view a scene from within the Poser program in VR, not requiring an export to a third party program. I'd like to fire up Poser put on my CV1 VR goggles and start work !! Not have to deal with exporting stuff to 3rd party apps and all the ghastly editing then required.
At the moment I can export a Poser scene to Unity via FBX and deal with it there in VR, free of charge. But one is limited to translations/ light placements and simple animation editing such as frame length and speed and keyframe. mods. I am probably going to need to wait :( ??

Hi Wimvdb... I must be missing something.. The Octane plugin? Is that a renderer? Can you point to where it is Oculus compatible? Searched a bit about it but cannot find anything about VR..? Do you have links to maybe some text or something ??

Maybe a bit off topic but here: https://forums.oculus.com/community/discussion/45884/post-your-first-medium-sculpts are some interesting sculptures done from within a Oculus Rift program called "Medium."
It allows the modelling of 3d characters in a VR environment using "touch" controllers that emulate your hands.
It's very intuitive and from the input and outcomes it produces looks quite nice.
One requires the CV1 VR goggles and of course a suitable computer so it's not that cheap. But very interesting how Gamers are flocking to this App. Folk that wouldn't usually touch a 3D program !

What do you expect for fifty bucks? Having said that...It looks like some folk are having trouble that others do not have? I have found the Poser Software to be quite stable after SR5 and even before. Maybe you folk are having hardware probs? Or something.. God knows.. But if it's any help, I've not experienced your pain...yet..so it might help to look elsewhere?
It might. But the title of this thread was about bugs for Poser 11. The powers that be asked us to report them so I am. Note the positive vibe of my reply. It's worth jumping into. What do I expect for fifty bucks? I expect everything to be working properly. Somethings that have helped clear up bugs. Windows Update. Let it update. One of my updates has fixed the scripts bug or it might just be a coincidence. One of the updates updated my video drivers. That has to be of some use.
People speak of libraries disappearing. I think Larger libraries need to be refreshed. This can be done by rebooting the program or hitting the refresh button and taking a break. Both actions have returned my sizable runtime to me. I have four runtimes hooked up and the disappearing libraries occurs when I got from one runime to another. Rebooting the program works for me.
Oh and I got Poser Pro when it was on sale here last month so I didn't get the 50 dollar price you paid.
Latest weird bug? When starting a new scene with a blank slate, the program asks for a texture. I click it through it telling it to ignore the texture and the scene starts. Rebooting the program solves the problem.
The last line of your reply...were you gloating?
Sorry. Not gloating. Just hinting that the faults etc you are experiencing might have more to do with your hardware/ GPU driver etc. I know lots of folk are having various problems and others are not. That's all I meant. Maybe, just maybe the answers might...might.. lie elsewhere than in the Poser software? Sorry it came out like that.

Clarification, do you mean Genesis or referring to Genesis 3? SpookieLilOne is correct about Genesis 3 and the workaround, however Genesis can be imported into P8 and higher through DAZ DSON Importer.
...And good luck with that !! I'd read all the Forum posts on that so called "importer" before you bother with it. But it will keep you busy and away from anything productive :)

Thanks, Be much better and helpful if this info was in the "View Details" page instead of hidden away somewhere ! Clicking on "View Details" gives very little info. Just loads of promos. But thankyou, SteveK for that

Can you please give some details on the "Annual Holiday Contest" Animation segment. Are they to be posted on youtube but linked in the Contest Animation page? Is there a limit on size? The info appears to be sadly lacking or I'm missing it completely..Which is most likely knowing me :) But to clear things up could you post info here? Thanks
Thread: Displacement Maps with SuperFly | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Use the firefly renderer in Poser11 and it's quite ok No subdivision needed for magnificent results Pity Superfly is so backwards in this and other rendering shortcuts. It's been described as "crazy" by many. But some like it and it's here to stay..unfortunately. Maybe it will get better as time goes on. At least it... Poser11.. is only some fifty bucks. :)

A bit of a bug? Not really but can be annoying if one doesn't read manuals which today is the majority.. You need to go to your child objects properties and under "Set Parent" tick the "Inheret bends of Parent. It's a bit vague but Poser is and always has been vague..But it's cheap !!
