Thanks for the help. I'll try that. What I do, though, is this: I morph using the morphing tool, and then when I'm done, I just save my scene, open the PZ3 file in a good text editor (Notepad++), and replace "Custom_Morph" with the name of the morph I want. Thats all. Same as "Save Morph As" but without any bugs. Crazy huh? But it works like a charm.
To edit the morph again in the future, I do the same but in reverse: I replace on Notepad++ whatever morph I want to edit to Custom_Morph. Just be careful with scenes that have multiple characters. Make sure they don't share same name morphs and that only one of them has a "Custom_Morph" at a time.

Quote - Does the same thing happen if you zero all the morphs other than Custom Morph, then create a new morph target which embeds the Custom Morph?
You mean exporting the morphed body parts and re-importing them as morph targets?

My hope was to be able to keep it in NURBS so I can do the morphs in it, and export the vertex mesh for each morph target from NURBS as it's a hell lot easier to deal with NURBS. But I guess the vertex order will never be the same each time I export that way...

I'm looking to do real realistic and detailed pieces. I can make simple pieces in 3DS already. Will zBrush model the whole thing? I was under the impression zBrush was just to add details.

Yes, the problem is that the pants is separated into hip, right tight, left tight, right shin, left shin. Those are different polygon groups in the OBJ file. So when I import the pants into 3DS MAX 10, it'll import each group. What I want to do is to be able to freely morph the whole pants, but keeping all vertices there and in the right order. If I weld, I'll lose vertices and so it won't work. I tried grouping and using Edit Mesh, but as soon as I use the Smooth Selection tool to move vertices, it'll do it separating each individual poly group.
I'm learning Blender right now. Its fast and nice but I don't see why going to Blender if I already use 3DS Max.

Quote - Did you inject the morphs after installing them?
Oh what do you know... I had no idea I had to manually inject the morphs after I load Michael. That solved it ^^
Ty guys!

I installed M4base.exe, M4Morphs.exe (Morphs++), and Michael4SkinMapsHighRes.exe. Then I installed the FREAK4 base.
Theres this M4BasePwrLoader.exe that I didn't install and I don't know whats it for...

Aparently my problem happened only when I tried to use Layers. If I don't touch the layers, everything works fine. Too bad, layers are so useful...

But in order to export your morph to OBJ so you can import it back as a FBM, your figure has to be in its zero position and all other morphs (besides the one you want to export) has to be zeroed, right? Or is there a way you can do this with a posed figure?
Thread: Morph Poser 8 bug | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I did that, but it didn't solve the bug...
However, one thing that solves the issue is when I use my morph delete script to delete a morph called Custom_Morph which Poser creates when you use the morphing tool. So looks like that morph is the cause of all issues.

Some more info on this:
a) The bug will only happen if you create a new morph to a figure that already had a morph when you loaded the scene. If its a new scene, a new figure, or a figure with no prior morphs in a loaded scene, the bug won't happen.
b) The bug will never happen if you morph different body parts. But if your new morph touches a body part that has been previously morphed, the bug will happen.
c) You also can tell if the bug happened when you try to either load a new scene, start a new scene (File/New), or close Poser. Poser will crash if the bug happened and you tried to do either one of those.
d) The bug happens differently if you use the PMD file (Edit/General Preferences/Misc/Use external binary morph targets). Poser won't crash, and you won't get polygons flying all over your scene, but you'll get incorrect morphs.

Well, I haven't send this to SM yet, because I still wanna get confirmation that its indeed a bug and not something I'm doing wrong or thats happening only on my PC.
BTW: I have SP2.1 installed.
