Just for the record: The MT-difference-method is known for some time, and it is not my invention. Thanks for the compliments anyway . MrGorf, your knee looks very good (much better than my tests on Posette's knee).

Sometimes the following method works: 1. Be sure all dials of your figure are zero. 2. Bend the shin to 130 degrees. 3. Export the bent shin and thigh as "shinr130.obj" and "thighr130.obj", for example. 4. Import shinr130 and thighr130 in your modeler and correct the joint. 5. Export corrected "newshinr130.obj" and "newthighr130.obj" from modeler. 6. To create the final MTs, load the figure obj in Poser and spawn props for rThigh and rShin. 7. Load two MTs on prop rThigh: (1) "thighr130.obj" as "shape 1", (2) "newthighr130.obj" as "shape 2". 8. Load two MTs on prop rShin: (1) "shinr130.obj" as "shape 1", (2) "newshinr130.obj" as "shape 2". 9. Set the new MT dials on props rThigh and rShin to shape 1 = -1 shape 2 = 1. "shape 1" is the uncorrected bent object. "shape 2" is the corrected bent object. The MT values -1 and 1 will cancel out the bend deformation and keep only the correction deformation. 10. If you're happy with the resulting shape, export props rThigh and rShin with the above MT settings as "thighrCMT.obj" and "shinrCMT.obj". The exported objs are the morph targets for the "KneeBendFix" MTs. 11. Load your figure from the .cr2 library. Load MTs "thighrCMT.obj" and "shinrCMT.obj" on actors rThigh and rShin. 12. When you bend the shin and set the correction MTs to 1, the resulting joint should look like the corrected shape you made in your modeler.

The most efficient method to make a banana from the Poser sphere: 1. Load a Poser sphere and make it yellow. 2. Set xScale to about 550%. 3. Use the Joint Editor to move the origin (center point) of the sphere away from the sphere, for instance to zOffset=0.1. (Don't use the Origin dials, they won't work.) 4. Save the document. Include a "taperX" channel in the channel code of the sphere. 5. Open the modified document in Poser. Set the taperX dial to a high negative value, for example taperX=-200%. 6. Done. Your sphere looks like a banana. This method is more efficient than morph or magnet. (A morph has additional geometry data, a magnet has three object and many channels.)

The MT (targetGeom) channels cannot be hidden because of the alternateGeom code ("geometry switching"). When you open the document or set a "geomChan" channel, Poser checks whether the morph targets match the geometry or not. If not, the MT dial is hidden. If the MT works for the geometry, Poser shows the dial. This mechanism overrides the "hidden" property in the channel code. BTW, Robert, my solution was wrong. The offsetB channels never worked. I have a new solution which looks promising (again). I will send you the formulas tonight. It took more than 200 try-outs as far :( VK

A few additions: 1. I think gimbal lock occurs when you apply 3 axial rotations on the same object. Therefore, you can avoid gimbal lock when you apply several rotations on different (parented) objects like BODY and hip. 2. The rotation system used in most 3D apps is not the genuine Euler angles system, but the so called Tait-Bryant system (3 rotations, 3 different rotation axes). Gimbal lock works differently in the Euler angles system (3 rotations, 2 different rotation axes). In Poser, the conventions (sort order of rotation axes) are called "rotation order". The convention is defined by the sort order of the channels in the script (document or library code). You can apply the Tait-Bryant conventions (xyz, xzy, yzx, yxz, zxy, zyx) interactively in the Joint Editor. 4. Some advanced 3D animation programs can apply the Tait-Bryant system or the Euler angles system. In the Euler angles system, the first and third rotation is about the same axis (xyx, xzx, yxy, yzy, zxz, zyz). You can implement real Euler angles in Poser: You modify the channel code and include two xRotate channels or two yRotate channels etc., for example rotateX xRot rotateY yRot rotateX xRot2. Be sure to use a unique channel name for the third rotation channel. 5. All Cardanic rotation systems (Tait-Bryant as well as Euler angles) show gimbal lock under certain conditions. 6. In Poser, you are not limited to 3 rotation. You can include 4 or more rotation channels in the channel code of a single object. (I don't think any other 3D animation software can do this.) You can for example use a 5 parameters system rotateX lRot rotateY pRot rotateZ zRot rotateY yRot2 rotateX xRot2. Using this rotation system you always have 3 DOFs (degrees of freedom) and no gimbal lock at all. In terms of spherical coordinates, you can create all Great Circles and all Small Circles on the sphere with a single object, as shown in the above picture.

Jim, about 1/10 of an original C-type. I don't make money on modeling, although it's a passion for many years (modeling I mean, not money). The C-type is an exciting car. Maybe it could be modelled if there are enough reference pictures. I have no car, but when I was very young I drove a Fiat 126. This was one of the smallest and noisiest cars at that time (air cooled two-stroke engine).
