Thread: 2 Issues: Scaled Importing and Quality of large images | Forum: Vue
Hey Ryan, I do a lot of this type of work myself however I use SketchUp for doing the architectural models. I find that vue does a great job with the models I make not sure about MicroStation however, If you have a model made in MicroStation I would be glad to test it out for you. Thx, Vance
Thread: I have had it with E-on! | Forum: Vue
Irish the number to call is 503-372-9698 if they are busy just leave a message. I have called e-on's office several times and have had great results not sure what number you are dialing but this number is good. The only time I had a long delay was when I forgot to send in my academic qualifying information and then it took awhile but that was my fault for not reading correctly what I had to do. But the discount was worth the wait. I think for the most part e-on dose a great job aside from the Cornucopia fiasco. ;)

dlk30341, I am pretty sure no one is very happy with how things are right not. But can we please keep this constructive? We heard you the first time. One or two out bursts are ok and even reasonable but more than that gets a bit too much. In time I am sure all this will get worked out. I agree with 1 - 4 BTW.

[quote="William Hutton"]Wabe I will be glad to answer you. First I am retireed and made my living working for myself. Never for anyone else. So I think I understand a few things about what you wanting to know for an answer. When I was in business there was enough markup to items I sold to take care of the few that were stolen. Yes I have had many items stolen. Did I worry about them......No if I did I would got paranoid and quit seeling said items. Its just human nature for people to get things that don't belong to them or plainly put stealing. It goes on every day. I would much rather pay a little more for a product from the store and be able to use it as I need instead of paying less and rally get no good from it because we can t save or use in another program. Why do you think I bought Vue Infinite instead of Vue 5... Because it was advertised to do what I wanted at a much higher price. I beleive I and others would be willing to pay more for products if we can use them in other applications and not be tied up like a criminal telling us what we can and can not do once we buy it. :D Its not about protecting ones software but more about controling the customers. I can see why not being able to save material, atmospheres and much more would hurt the store from selling if people were going to be making new ones and giving away for free as has been done at other forums untill the store opened and Vue had to be encrypted. Just have to agree with William here. Very well stated. Theft drives prices up and I might add if it is worth stealing then it only adds to the over all worth of the product and can create an advertisment that goes beyound any add you could buy. It is very hard to change human nature. Best of luck to the Cornucopia team in sorting this out to a positive end. ;o)Wabe please open up your mind and see clearly.

Interesting, from the looks of it the administrators have a lot of work to do before any real involvement by users can be accomplished.

Thread: Shadow Independence | Forum: Vue
You need two light sources and even then they may over lap. One light with shadow mapping and the other standard or adding some softness. Interesting you ask this question as I was trying this today.

Thread: How to *improve* the Vue experience here at 'Rosity? | Forum: Vue
LOL no I'm not joking and I did comment on this subject you just seem to be taking this very personal. I don't think anyone is talking about your artwork. However for someone that really doesn't care as you mention you seem pretty upset about it. But keep it up if that's what turns you on. Vance

Geez Dlk take a pill everyone has a right to an opinion. People flying off the handle is what is annoying in my opinion. So far this has been a very civil subject one that I have enjoyed reading. I doubt anything will come of it because Renderosity is a hobby site for the most part and CGtalk is for pros. Two very different formats. Thx Vance.
Thread: Claims about Vue 5 Infinite on E-On's website... | Forum: Vue
It was petshoo that made me look further. Really didn't have to look too far to find out my suspicions where valid. It really doesn't make a company look very good when they are into to this type of activity. So the credit really goes to petshoo on this one. Thx Vance
