Make sure your objects are correctly placed BEFORE texturing.

Quote - > Quote - In Vue, you can save an imported PZ3 as a VOB.
But then you lose the benefit of being able to update the figure in Poser if required.
And how often do you need to that?
I'm not surprised your VUE crashes.
If you failed to get the pose right in the 1st place..then you can just use the replace object feature & re-import the altered pz3..simple really.

Thread: Polygon reduction | Forum: Vue
Once imported into VUE, you can use the "decimate mesh" option to reduce poly's.

Thread: Just to let you know: I am selling my Vue Infinite ! | Forum: Vue
Quote - Hmmm I didn't think re-selling was allowed with the user agreement. You did double check with E-on before you posted the auction, didn't you?
Cheers
LOL..why would you need to check with E-on.
Once you've payed for it..you own it.....right?
If you are unable to resell it..then you never really owned it at all.

Good points.
Luckily I have no need for C3D or eon support.

Quote - Vue is not a pocket calculator where one hits the equals key.
The Vue interface, simple at first glance, may lead to mistake it for such :-)
Perfect analogy IMO.
When I 1st started with VUE5i. I crashed it regularly.
Now ..one year on...I can comfortably drive the VUE beast smoothly, without any crashes.
IMHO... with 9 out of 10 crashes..the problem is between the chair & the keyboard.
I agree with GPFrance's post %100.

Thread: What cpu/motherboard for Vue ??? | Forum: Vue
Quote - "Also - does Vue take advantage of dual core cpus???"
Yes it does. Vue5 IS multithreaded. Multicore or SMP (multi-CPU) is definately what you should be looking for. The AMD's are currently the "better" chip for sure.

Thread: Please tell me, is it safe to update my P6 to SR2 for vue importing? | Forum: Vue
I updated to SP2 to fix the "full body morphs" error...which it didn't. I still have the problem. Other than that, SP2 has not broken anything new. I do however still run 5.08 in VUE though. For me .o8 is more stable than .07 and earlier. I say...If you don't have a "NEED" to update your VUE...then don't!. Don't fix what isn't broken(much). So until I run into a major hurdle with 5.08 that only going to .o9 will fix. I will be staying away from VUE updates. My 2c

Thread: Why are my system resources leaking? | Forum: Vue
I totally agree & so does everyone else who uses VUE. Your basically flogging a dead horse IMHO though. As your statement has been echoed by many & for quite some time. It is THE major "annoyance" with this software. Fact remains -what's your alternative...use it as is...or don't?

Your NOT going to be able to STOP the leaks. We're just trying to help you enough so that you will be able to complete your scene. It's just something VUE users have to learn to live with.

Copy the textures that your poser objects are using to another folder, then reduce the size of those copied textures. Open your scene & make your poser objects use the new altered textures.

It's not fragmentation & it's not the OS. Its VUE. Vue is not releasing unused memory efficiently.
