Been said over and over but practice makes perfect, Ive been at it 8 months now and still feel like a newbie :) But ive made a few pics now that have beenb rated Excellent in the galleries so I know I must be getting somewhere. Sometimes I find a good scene doesnt have to be a complicated scene. Keep it simple to start with. My first scene was just the planet earth in a bubble and people liked it :-D mainly because i used a real NASA texture for the planet though i think. Oh and keep coming back here, these guys are what drive me to keep getting better.

Download either wings3d ( http://www.wings3d.com ) or Anim8tor ( http://www.anim8or.com ). Both of these FREE modelers allow easy convertion between 3ds and obj file formats. wings seems the best as anim8or somethings places weird extra polygons where i dont need them. Have fun Zanny

U want me to be honest? Ok here goes. Firstly lovely car, I can only dream of being able to model something this good. The first thing i noticed is the white line around the windscreen, is this delibrate or an unfortunate artifact? Maybe make a small rubber seal around the whole windscreen to disguise the white? The Hood i feel should be raised up in the middle slightly to reflect the huge engine throbbing underneath :) Only other thing is how do u open the car door? I see neither a car door handle or a recess to put your hand in :) Little more work and this will be great!

Sounds good to me, but can you either drop the metaball thing or are we going to limit this month to bryce 5 only. I dont mind either way as I have version 5 but Isstrout does have a valid point.

I agree with seven ive downloaded wings and anim8or in an attempt to make my own models and i avoid downloading and using others works whenever possible these days. Not only is it more fun this way it avoids any possible copyright issues if you were ever wanting to sell prints or whatever of your own works.
