I guess what inspires me doesn't follow the traditional way of thinking. Though I'm awed by a great many artists, model builders, texture makers and designers, seldomely does it make me jump into creating a new image. What does is praise, I'm not trying to sound anal here, so let me explain. When I show a sculpture, painting or any CG image to someone and it in someway has an effect on them (either by invoking an emotional response or by opening new avenues of creativity and imagination) that's how I get inspired. Knowing I can create something that influences (in a positive way) a person, maybe get them pondering issues or helping them accept new forms of mediums as art (showing that CG is a legitimate form of art has always been a goal of mine to those who don't understand it), is all I need to get started on that next piece.
