There is no mention of M4 anywhere that I can find, anyone sure Daz is gonna create him?
Myself and cherokee69 were two of the people that spoke up when M3 was released, stating emphatically "how bad he sucks", of course we were shot down, called trolls, and everyone just Loved this new figure, Glad to see people are finally agreeing after quite some time. What I did was take every free morph i could get my hands on (thanks treckiegirl and others) and every add on morph pack at every store, combine them with m3's morphs, now he looks pretty good.
Ya know many folks here will praise daz, no matter how bad something is, why didn't people speak up when m3 was first released, it's a little late now.

so let me see if i got all this, you were ALL excited about new figures for passport members, THEN the new figures have no elbows and kind of suck, ARE you all surprised?? Koji was James with an Asian face, came with no morphs, no nothing. And what do you get for joining and being a passport member? Seems to me, many of you need to hang onto your money, instead of throwing it at any and all POSER PEOPLE creators.
James is a pretty cool figure, why don't they work on what they already have, Oh NO let's make a new James and a black james. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! and because it's free, you really can't complain
Keep your money in your pocket , when sales start falling, I guarantee you, you will see exciting awesome figures popping up, money talks.
Lastly CP SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAD AND/OR BEEN A MEMBERSHIP SITE, it was supposed to be for anyone that purchased poser, another reason, i don't bother with them, just another scam for a dollar.

i'm gonna have to vote for dvd backup, if you backup to external hard drive, that hard drive fails, what did you accomplsih by backing things up? The dvd is there forever, when you need it ,as you add more things to your runtime, do a new backup..dvd's are so inexpensive now. All my dvd's are in a small box, labeled, by content and date

one of the fun parts about getting it was or is the learning process, you can import and render a stunning image immediately just playing with lights, the material room (shaders) are a bit overwhelming BUT just play with it for a while, that's what i did....as with any app that "renders" the more complicated the lights the slower the render BUT to me it renders far and away faster than poser, so when you get to playing, you can see your results pretty quickly.
I had 2 custom mike 3's and one custom david in a scene, poser 5 and 6 both choked, they would both get half way through and freeze, rendered it in carrara without a hitch, with realistic sky and props.

i got carrara for the exact reason you mentioned, constant out of memory errors, transposer imports great and carrara's lighting is far superior to posers and for me anyway it renders very fast. From reading various forums, i haven't seen anyone that was disappointed, but i'm sure out there somewhere there are a few...for me i love it
