On some computers, there is a bug that they never bothered to fix. I have a three computers I use and one does not recognize any wav files in poser and these are wav files I know work since they work on another computer. Have you tried Okham's suggestion of putting a mic in the mic jack? I've heard from multiple people that this fixes the bug but have never tried it. If you don't have a mic you can actually use headphones and plug them into the mic jack. If nothing else, I'd be willing to try your wav file to see if it is a problem with the wav or if you're getting the bug.

I use audacity to convert audio files to use in Poser. It's free and pretty easy to use. If you want to use music from a CD, you'd need some sort of program that takes music from a CD and turns it into a file that can be read by your computer. 

Problem with one off characters like Ichiro etc is that they are one-offs and there is not nearly enough content to make it worth it IMHO. I would love a full set of stylized figures. As it is now I end up using Hiro and Aiko and now I've moved on the Gen 4 figures which have some nice morphs. Have you seen Freak 4 character sets? (I know, I know you mean FEMALE but these are some nice somewhat unique morphs)

Alpha man has a female counter part. And there are other stylized female figures available as well; LaRoo, Phoebe, Koshini. None of them are so vastly popular.

I disagree with the notion that they would not be unique for long. When was the last time you saw a render with Alpha man?

Yeah, I suspected it was in "Return" but since I don't watch them as separate movies these days, they all tend to run one into the other and I remember it as one really long movie.

Hence the "unless" indicating that I generally agree with this sentiment but know there are exceptions.

I immediately thought of that scene in whichever LotR movie where the Stewart of Gondor was eating while his son and his army were be slaughtered by the Orcs. Perfect example of why eating is not normally shown unless it's relevant to the plot. Don't know which was more abhorrent: the scenes of him shoveling food ingloriously into his gaping maw or the carnage paralleled outside.

Besides, I am of the mindset that NOTHING should be in an animation that's not crucial to the plot. To paraphrase Chekhov: if there is a gun hanging over the fireplace in the first act someone had better use it before the end of the play.

Here is a tutorial for getting dynamic clothes into Daz studio but it's for clothes you've already run through the simulator not clothes that can be simulated in Daz Studio.

These are super low res and only really suitable in the background. I've made scenes with hundreds of them with no problems.

I made a couple of extremely low poly figures as well, but they are laughable compared to Porsimo's figures.
