Hello, This is Eric at Zygote. The reason for this last update was a faulty .cr2 file for the left heel boot on the PC side. It has been fixed. This update (6-20-00) will only work with a previous version of the clothing pak installed. Regardless of which version you already have installed, this last update installer will replace all of the neccesary files. If you purchase the clothing pak now, you will be receiving these latest updated files. Thank you for your patience, Eric Allen tech@zygote.com
Thread: Victoria is too big for her britches I say! (170K file) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello, This is Eric at Zygote. Thank you Diana for bringing these issues up. There are easy fixes for all of these problems except one (explained below). (1) Shoulder, side of breast, forearm and wrist problems fixed by using the updated Victoria .cr2, which has slightly modified joint parameters in her shoulders. You will know you are using the final Victoria if it's called "Vicki" within Poser. (If you're still using any "Victoria" files, please go to Victoria's page on Zygote's site and download the 4-28 update.) (2) The hip and lower chest poke-thru problems can be fixed by adjusting the "soften hip" full-body morph. You were correct in presuming that if both Vicki and her clothing items had this morph set to 1.0 that they would match. This is what Zygote intended. The problem you and others are encountering is that Poser sometimes has a problem handling multiple figures with matching full-body morphs. In some cases this causes it to double the morph by setting the individual body-part morphs, as well as the full-body morph to "1.000". Although this is a problem with the Poser code, the results can be easily fixed by adjusting the full-body morph on the clothing item to zero, for example. (3) Victoria's "no nipple" morph needs to be used when wearing the catsuit. (4) The feet poke-thru was intended to be remedied by turning the feet invisible. We chose to make the shoes this way for convenience and aesthetics. Since Vicki does not read in with "barbie" tip-toe feet, any poses or animations would have to be adjusted for her when wearing the boots. Also, as improved as Vicki's heels look (especially when on tip-toe) from Posette's, there are still limitations to Poser's joint parameters which would cause any high heel foot/boot structure to appear akward. (5) The thigh poke-thru on the boot is a problem caused by the extreme angle of the knee joint. This is a legitimate problem for which Zygote has not provided any fix. (Though it is typical of tight fitting Poser clothing items.) Some possible work-arounds could include transparency mapping Vicki's shin, scaling Vicki or the boot, or using magnets. Thank you for the comments on the clothing. We use sales as our primary indicator of what type of products the majority of our customer's want. As always, however, marketing is a gamble, and we appreciate your feedback. We are always available for questions during business hours (MST) by phone or email at tech@zygote.com . Thread: Just a hint about the Vicky skirt problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello, With the help of Diane B "picnic" we here at Zygote have been able to find the cause of the problem. We have located the source of the problem; the .obj itself. We have replaced the free download update file on our site and the it will now fix all problems with the skirt. This update file can be found on the clothing pak product page. All those who purchase the pak after this date will recieve the bug-free version as well. We have also included a new .obj file for the bikini bottom which contains all uv coordinates (maps will apply to it now). I think this is the first time we have not been able to replicate a problem. We appreciate your patience and your comments as we have tried to solve this problem. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding. Eric Allen Zygote Media Group
Thread: HEY!!!--- those with new clothes pak update | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is Eric from Zygote, We have continued to work on this problem but we have been unable to replicate it on our end. We are testing on Mac g3s and multiple PCs running W98 (with the Poser patch). Please include info on . . . if you have the patched version of Poser or not, if you have any other figures in the scene and which parts of the skirt will not morph. Mac users are you having a problem with this? Are there people out there for whom the morph is working just fine? What are your details? We will get to the bottom of this one! We certainly appreciate all of your feedback! Thanks . . . Eric Allen Zygote Media Group
Thread: Asking again-Vicky skirt length morph not working | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello everyone, We at Zygote have deleted the old files and replaced them with the updated files, and we have not been able to duplicate the problem. We were wondering under what conditions you are having the problem. We understand that you are all using the patched Poser 4 update and are on PC. If there is anyone else out there who has the problem under different circumstances, let us know. We have tested the skirt with and without victoria, There might be a problem if there are multiple figures in the scene. If this is the case, let us know. When you have the problem are you using the separate skirt length body group morphs or are you using the skirt body length morph. We will try to solve this as soon as we can. Your information is of extreme value. Thanks, Eric Allen Zygote Media Gorup
Thread: Asking again-Vicky skirt length morph not working | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello everyone, We here at Zygote are working on this. We have not yet reponded to this thread because we are trying to replicate this on our end. We have tested the clothing pak skirt now multiple times on both Mac and PC and they appear to be working fine. There is the posibility that the installer is not writing over the old file(s). In that instance you could extract the skirt.cr2 (and skirt.rsr on PC) and put them manually in the place of the previous files. The files that need to be replaced are in the "RuntimelibrariescharacterVictoria Clothing" folder. We will continue to test the installers and find a salution for this. We will post as soon as we find and fix the problem. Let us know what we can do. Eric Allen Zygote Media Group inc.
