If you want power, speed and handling in Texas..it just HAS be a Shelby.............and judging by the two other photos, Cynthia seems to be getting by just fine without the car...

Clearly your night shot can be hot and cool at the same time! ;-)) The red reflection is very effective.

Couldn't get the flashlight on the dog eh.... ;-) I think Cocoa in the barn by lamplight might be a warm image..unless it's past her bedtime. That excellent portrait you did of her recently could almost be a night shot with it's indoor lighting effect. A pool huh.....must be nice......

That first image is hilarious...I can almost hear him asking in a very British voice..."um,..a...hmm... you, you didn't happen to see where this tree went did you by any chance?...I left my nuts in it" ;-)) Doug....super detail...perfect light ..great capture! L8RDAZE...are you sure he's searching for nuts or just reacting because someone said DUCK!
Thread: Question about image size | Forum: Photography
Don't have an answer but if you go to www.dpreview.com he has some very good explanations of the workings of digital cameras..along with THE most comprehensive testing and evaluations I have ever encountered....I relied on his assessments to help me with my camera purchase and I haven't regretted it one bit.

Cynlee..yes I do know how to make thumbs I just wasn't sure how they were to be uploaded to this forum. Now I know. The very reason I asked the question was because I was concerned that Doug seemed to be having to do something for others that they weren't doing themselves. I also know that they night shots were "suggested" to be within the month of April......forgive my enthusiasm. There will be no further pre-April "entries" from this gentleman. I actually forgot that it was a "challenge" and simply posted pictures with exposure info as visual examples that others who have had little or no experience at all with night shots ( and several had said they had not) could perhaps use as a reference point if they wished. If I were seriously engaged in competing for king of the hill in a challenge I would not have twice posted a double image of the same mediocre scene with different exposure times. I thought I was maybe helping someone who was seriously considering rising to the challenge. Any more posts from me will keep the challenge nature of this forum in the forefront of my consciousness. My profound apologies to all.

This is a resort hotel on the outskirts of Phoenix Arizona. South Mountain Resort. We stayed there last November. I have several night shots of the hotel complex that I took while everyone else was watching "American Idol" or something. I just walked the grounds with my tri-pod and played around with fountains and whatever...basically so that I could come back with vacation snapshots that were more than just sun and cactus. I don't want to hog the discussion board with a bunch of night shots from the same place...is that poor group etiquete or even outside the purpose of the forum? Anyone?
