WOW! I did the same shot once... But in mine there isn't that bird ;), and the sky wasn't so blue... Your one is much better! (I'm not telling that your pics are always better than mine... THIS one is)

Hmmm... Okay, the composition of this one is maybe more 'artistically composed', but I really like the softness of the shadows in the previous one... I'm not saying I prefer one or the other: they are different, they convey different feelings... As to the 'artist' thing, well, as a linguistics student I can tell you that everything is a question of labelling... If a label is widely accepted, then the label works and convey a meaning... Since there seem to be a wide number that label you as an artist, people understand the meaning of the word 'artist' when referred to you, so you ARE an artist, like it or not ;)
