Hmmm, one recently from my gallery. I might have one or two more, but here is "Moon, Venus, Snake"  A water slide in Dickinson, ND .. Has light and shadows :) And turned into a retro Sci Fi shot lol

"Ren is not the all above answer. period"  I have found with experience, that you have to go to the proper sources to get the info you need.  Honestly, some of the best tutorials and tips come from the Adobe crew. This "Ren area" is simply a forum that has a variety of folks with a variety of experience  from beginner to expert :)  There are many usefull PS workshops  that are specific to CS2 online as well.  I have some issues with CS3,  however, I'm not posting them here. In addition, many 3rd party books are available at the local Library and book stores . As a Pro-Photographer/PS/Artist guy, I cruise these forums once in a while to see if I can find some questions or tips  that might interest me ..  (Or a specific question I can answer) Thats it ..  Now I'm on to the Photography Forums, then I have to get back to work :) This is the first PS post I've responeded to in almost a year lol

This discussion is quite amusing :)  My work is all over the place, from straight architecture up to composites with as many as 90 layers .. (Ya, I have to flatten and start again to achieve that)

As a displaying gallery artist with so many categories, it would be cool to be able to split, and/or be able to arrange simular pieces near eachother. Thats what I currently do in my shows.  My May show featured my abstracts from water treatment plants where my June show featured only my Naturals.

The Oly is a great choice too!   Actually fuzzy choice a bit because they both use a simular sensor.
I've been through the Nikon and Minolta Phase as well lol.  Now then of course there is the $22K Medium format Digital Hassleblad .. akkk !! :)

Actually lights depend on if this is a lifestyle (people) or interior architectural shoot. I use higher F-Stops and an ISO of 100-200 for my interiors.  These were interior architectural shoots though. And large spaces require more than a couple of good lights :) So expect long exposure times fro 3-8 seconds, blurred people etc.  Also use 2-3 exposure settings for each tripod shot. Many of the newer DSLR's have a built in "Bracketing" feature such as my Canon, which allows me to set up 3 exposure presets, and you click the shutter once, and it will take 3 shots in a row. Very handy! That way you can bracket the best of the bright versus dark. Attached is a sample:

I love my Canon XTI. Fantastic dynamic range and features. And as mentioned above, its really the lenses you choose to utilize. Of course, I'm now jonsing for, and may even have to get the Canon D-5 here hopefully next month. After trying out a buddies, just the heavier duty body seems worth it on field shoots. I still plan to hold on to the XTI, cause its so handy having at least 2 cameras along with different lenses.
