Here is my Collections folder located in the Poser 12 Content runtime folder. As you can see, I have 8 folders within this folder each created in the Poser Library under the Favorites tab. I have my link highlighted within the yellow box.
The Favorites tab in the Poser Library reflects the same folders.
This is awesome, thx for the help, finally got it to work! Not sure what I was doing wrong before. Thinking about what you said about the shortcuts now. I have gotten shortcuts to work for individual items but not folders. I will have to look into it but think there is a way for windows to make something like shortcuts but with folders.

I can confirm that there is no way I can see that shows a 'Collections' folder in a Windows run Poser (11 or 12) from within Poser . Favorites is there, but as many said before, there is no way to add an entire folder or see it from within Poser, only individual items that then need to be re-sorted into folders again in the favorites tab.
hborre, could you give us a step by step on how you do this, please? I'm sure I'm missing something glaringly obvious here and I feel like a blonde again... ;)
Thanks for sharing.

I don't know why I can't get this to work...Even in the collection folder inside Poser 11 content it does not seem to show anything inside Poser. But thanks for trying to help though.

The Collections folder is directly linked to the Favorite tab, which is your only access within Poser. Any manual, custom, external manipulation must be done from the Win Explorer Browser.
With the program closed I'm making folders and moving things into there, yet when I load the program it does not show up in favorites. I checked settings in general preferences doesn't seem to be anything to cause a problem here. Any ideas?

you can find them in {YOURMAINCONTENTRUNTIME}RuntimeLibrariesCollections and you can edit them there. You might need to have poser closed at the time.
But how can I find the collections folder from within Poser though? I can see favorites, that has been populated with individually added things, and I have found this collections in win explorer, yet I can't seem to locate it from within Poser. Any ideas?

But an entire folder can be copied into the Collections folder. I have done it between Poser versions with established collections. The feature, as it stands, creates a new copy of your content with an established pathway from the originally installed location. Any disruptions to those established runtime will break the connections and render the content useless. The Favorites tab makes easy access to content from within any runtime you have linked to your Library.
I can't seem to locate the collections folder from within Poser. I can find it in WIn explorer and it shows things in there (which are separate from what is inside the program in favorites). I'm interested in trying to get that to work. Any other ideas?

I believe the issue here is adding an entire folder, not single items out of that particular folder. I have asked for this feature many times for future updates. It seems I can only add individual items to the favorites folder, not an entire folder, this becomes a cumbersome process.
Correct, this exactly.

Favorites folder is found under Poser 11 Content>Runtime>Libraries>Collections, is should be the same pathway for Poser 2014 but I haven't checked with my installation. If you have folders already set up in Poser 2014, it should not be difficult to copy them over to Poser 11.
Edit: Just tried it and it works.
I have found the collections folder in explorer, and there is stuff in there even. Yet I have never seen this folder inside Poser. How do I find the collection folder inside of Poser? Because what Poser list as "favorites" is not the same as what is inside the collections folder.
