I have added a HMDI based KVM switch to the equation so that I can share a moose, keyboard and monitor across both systems. It is a simple unit measuring 10 X 6 X 3cm with a button on top, pressing the button flips all three items between the PCs and button surround is illuminated blue or green to signify which PC is being controlled.
An other link: Microsoft Garage Mouse without Borders is a software provided by microsoft that is a virtual kvm beetween 4 PC
it's even better as you can copy / paste beetween them.

I did the same math, it's a choice, i was considering buying a new graphic card for optix, ... and i found that i can rent a VM with a RTX A4500 with 20Gb or RAM during many years with this money. Cintiq works, i got windows 11, and with shadowdrive or dropbox you can bring you files home easily. It's not supporting copy / pastebeetwen local pc and shadow pc it's the only frustration i encoutered for 4 monthes now.

When you need power and dont want to invest (for money or ecology), you can use your mini PC to access a rented VM in the cloud with a super GPU. I do that and uses poser on it. It works really better on it then on my PC. it's streaming the input / ouput and if your network connection is good it is very efficient.
I took a Zenith for Maker plan at shadow.tech and i'm glad i did.

I liked the blue boxes for each thread / card in poser 12, do you know why they disappeared in poser 13 ?

Nice, it's a good idea to add some drawing on it. It makes it more personal.A Little "artistic" test Render with V4 ....

As a software developper i know it's not easy to make a product evolve, keeping the backward compatibility. They must make some choices and it's hard to fight in this jungle where very good software can be free. The review is fair and balanced.
I bought the upgrade, i'm happy with it, also it's not perfect yet, but definitly some progress.
Keep going and don't give up!

Hi, i purchased poser 13 too.I experimented some crashes at the beggining, may be optiX i dont understand what was'nt really loaded in my gpu. Now it seems to be ok.
For now i'm juste playing with the queue rendered. I must admit the render queue beeing able to use multiple gpu on multiple PC's is a big plus.
I enjoy the startup window that allow me to switch from in progress projects.
A little small thing : why not auto apply 1.4 Ui scale automatically on 4K screens?: it puts an advice it in the log, and keep 1.0 the the ui is messy, needs the user to type 1.4 in prefs on a screen almost unreadable, then restart... not very premium experience that can be so easily fixed !

No, i dont want to skip :) i'm glad there are some updates. I juste wanted to suggest an improvement. I know it's easier to have ideas than having them done !You CAN skip some updates if you'd prefer, guys. P12 is in beta, I wouldn't expect an updater.
Ludovic.

Good news !
However, can't you make a smaller release or an auto updater ? like in Zbrush. I'm sure only 2 or 3 .dll changed but we must download 1.6GO and unsinstall / reinstall all. Ok for a major release, - lets say poser 13.0 - a new full installation may be requiered, but for such a small patch it's a huge waste of ressources.
Save the polar bear, our time and your bandwith bill :)
Thread: Zbrush GOZ and details | Forum: Poser 12
Hi all, Yes smooth polygon works also in Superfly and smooth the thing. What does not work is the ckeck box to remove it.
To make it clearer for every one.The way to remove smoothing, is to put the angle to 0.

Hi. Thank you. I figured it out with your help :
Unchecking smooth polygon on a prop is bugged it does nothing at all with superfly... I will fill a bug report for it.
putting the angle to 0 in general preference or in the prop prpperties does the job. the prop has Pose 09 200006 polys 99999 verts the exact same amout than in Zbrush, its ok, there is no decimation, just smoothing.
Have a nice day !
Ludovic.

to be more precise : if i work on material and light its better. But the raw goz obj seems to be smoother, and preview show less details even with better light.
