you will just need to change teh center point in teh joint parameters of the object, then use the yrotate to open and close the door...no need for a morph.

I have had a lot of success with talk designer, though I do have mimic3 syncing in Poser is a little odd, as importing sound only starts on the 1st frame of the animation, there is a plug that will allow you to change this but I havn't tried it or even remember what it si called.

For quicker rendertimes, You could look into getting Carrara (from Daz3d.com) it will take your poser files natively and it renders much faster then poser, plus you can add to the scenes and tweak the poser end results if needed.

in poser you can use the 'curve' thingy (very technical term there) in the parameters of the joints to curve the group between the joints. you will need a few more poly segmants there to make this look good about 5 or 6 I would figure between each joint but it is an easy way to make it look believeabilly (lol) flexable.

I am not sure that what I was doing before Phils script, I did try to add the red in ( found via a google search from a couple different places) but it would never follow the xRot that I was trying...I even tried to copy it straight from the donar CR2 with no luck as well...

I guess that is my problem right there...as soon as I can't get it to work after a few tries I find some one who has done the hard work to make it a one button press experience...gotta love those people.  :)

I whistle all the time too, never at home though always at work, we have (insert store name here) radio and the songs are always so up beat that I can't help but whistle along.

I get one of thsoe emails everytime I open PoserPro...really, I have it set to register online, and everytime I use poser it does LOL.

I stopped using fire works after getting PSPPhoto X2 cause it dropped teh data...I can do anything to the image in PaintShopPro Photo X2 and it ramains intact'ed

I am on the other side of the fence on this...as a museum is a place of learning, I would just give it to them :) Sure they have money to spend, but I would rather they spend that on the development of the idea rather then the idea.

But I am surely in the very minor minority here.

hexagon & silo are two very low priced very capable apps.
max and maya, are a bit of overkill if you are just using them to model clothing in they are so much more full 3d solutions, as is lightwave and cinema, although cinema if I remember correctly is a modular app so you only buy what you need.

I used tS5 for a great many years after leaving 3dsMax as it was the closest I could find to max in my price range.

Shade would be OK if you think in Shade which I could not do for teh life of me, but as Tashar said, what one likes the other may not, so definatly try as many demo's as possible.

I never saw any mention of seeing the preferences.
If you are loading a character up with Poser this will also slow it's startup way down.
If you delete teh default person and set that as your preference it will speed it up more then any of the other suggestions.

What I do nto like about textures is that they still use a porus bumpmap on a heavilly makeuped face??? Whats up with that...when my wife wears make up you cannot see her pores anymore LOL/

why not take teh time in your hyatus grab a cheap/free modeling app and learn to model if you do not know already...grab a cheap/free image manipulation software and learn to do it your self...basically the only thing that I buy any more are textures cause I cannot seem to be able to make a convinsing one, other then that I just see what I like and make my own.
