How to start in poser? That's easy! It's just a jump to the left ... (you bought the software) and then a step to the riiiiiiiiiight ... (renderosity) put your hands on your hips ... (search for tutorials, exchange emails with kind, knowledgeable users) and pull your knees in tight ... (just for fun LOL)

Thanks, Randy ... it seems overwhelming ... but it sounds like if I can get these programs I'm halfway there. I'm using P5. I don't have Adobe PhotoShop, will I be able to make the changes in Adobe PhotoDeluxe? It has taken me awhile to learn it but I like working with it. I'm sure P5 will be the same way eventually (when I'm done banging my head against the wall LOL).

I want to do a picture of a generic high school jock utilizing the M3 Bishonen morphs ... I'm a complete newbie to all this ... that jacket on the coach does look like a fairly close match ... but I have no clue how to change colors and make a "texture map" ... I have Adobe Photodeluxe so theoretically I could "paint" something ... but what do I paint it to? I have this crazy notion that I can illustrate a novel that I've been writing with images rendered in poser. One of the main characters is a high school jock, and the jacket is a key part of the story.

Thanks for the advice, tonymouse, but I have no clue what you're talking about. I don't know anything about how to re-texture or trans map. I'm only just getting started. I looked at the biker jackets and they don't look enough like a letterman jacket, in my humble opinion. The elasticized collar, sleeve (wrist) binding, and hem need to be smaller, and striped, and the jacket would have snaps, not a zipper. They also have slash pockets on the sides, lined in the contrasting white (i.e., the jacket is red, the sleeves are white leather, the collar and sleeve bindings are red with white stripes). I attached a photo (although I'm sure you already know what they look like, sometimes it helps to have a solid visual, I think). Anyway, I hope someone can help, and thanks again.

Lyrra makes a good point; if the lips were just slightly lighter color, and the nose matched the facial color better ... but ... i still think that Alexi is stunning! i hadn't noticed those things the first time around, because i was just "jarred" by the resemblance to my friend, michael ... and i can't wait to try to "render" him when Alexi is ready. ;^) rock on, Dale!

what method are you using to lighten the skin tone? when i've wanted to change skin tone on a photograph, i use adobe photodeluxe and tweak color, contrast, and saturation to get the effect that i want. if i can be of assistance, please let me know!
