My bet is that they are going to take the day off for a 4 day weekend...But I have been wrong before......I think. ;-P

Hey everyone if I am accepted as a content creator I plan on offering pose sets for Dawn and would be interested in hearing as the end user what would you all like to see? I am sure that everyday standing and sitting poses will be offered but I will be making some of those as well. I plan on some Sci-Fi and action sets what else would you all like to see?

Since Luxus is more or less a link to LUX render engine I would say that since Palo is working on settings for Reality that Dawn would work in Luxus I would imagine the settings would ve very similar.

While at a slight tangent, might be worth a comment to hopefully clarify...  Luxus and Reality are two totally different ways to access Luxrender in DS.  This means that the presets are not interchangeable between them, so while Dawn will have no problems being used in Luxus, you'd have to work out your own settings, as Paolo's presets will be specific to Reality and will work for both Poser and DS versions of Reality.

Incidentally, once Paolo has his "one-click-sss" up and running, it will be harder to get bad skin settings than good ones in Reality 3 (I think that will be sorted before DS Reality 3 gets released so that it's included in it and I'd imagine Poser Reality 3 would get an update).

Well I'll keep working at it myself and probably share it for the Daz folks and then if anyone wants it for poser they'll have to kinda hack it themselves, or maybe a tutorial that will let me get it somewhat working. But without a copy of poser i can't set up materials on it. 

If my skills were up to that task I would jump at the option to help but I am kind of lost for the help you are needing. Sorry.

Good point! If they are going to offer instructins on how to transfer the rigging it would be awesome to show content creators how to transfer materials and mat files so the content will look the same if both programs.

I've made over two dozend "realistic" sculpts based on photographic reference in the last three years and most of them I have shown publically.

I'm not a professional, but based on feedback I've gotten I think their shapes are quite close to the people they are based on.

Will these two do or should I post more to demonstrate what I understand under "realism" ?

I agree with Rawn and pageaneagle2001 this is rediculous and can we PLEASE move on this is aobut Dawn not what is realistic. 

Over the years in my paid profession, I have learned some important lessons. One being that no two people see the same thing alike, there are always differences between them due to the way we perceive things. This is rapidly turning into that. We can all agree that this is a good thing for the 3D community (Poser and DS), so what does it matter what her base figure looks like? We all know that beauty sells, so Dawn is going to load looking the best she can, and I have no issues with that. And like it has been said, if you don't like the shape, spin a dial or move a slider it is that easy! As an artist I want my 3D figures to conform to my version of perfect or as close as I can obtain given the software I use. Someone else may see my image and disagree, which we all have a right to do, but to sit here and to continue to argue over a point that we all know we will never be able to agree on is just plain silly. We have gone 61 pages without a serious issue and now we are going to get side tracked by a definition of "realistic"? No offense, but this is ridiculous. No matter what we can or can't agree on we have to all understand one basic thing, Dawn is being created to make a company money, and as the end users we will have SOME input to help them sell her better but I do not think her zero pose or base body shape will be one of those.

I am not saying this to flame or stir the pot, I am simply stating the facts as I see them. Others will disagree with me and that is fine I don't mind, but petty bickering over the correct or incorrect use of a word.....Come on.

That is true of the base figure but everyone was asking what they would like to see made by creators supporting Dawn, my roots in 3D started as a fetish artist and although I have branched out into other areas they are still firmly planted there. I would also like to see some Sci-Fi stuff as well...Space suits, uniforms and props as well as poses that would allow her and her eventual male counterpart to use all of the equipment and vehicles that are currently available.

I am sure that I will have to end up findingthis from the other sites that are more specialised for this but what about fetish gear? Ballet boots and high heels as well as lingerie she mihgt enjoy owning.
