Thread: using knotplot and bryce. | Forum: Bryce
Great! This works well for one mesh but how do you tell it to give you a seperate mesh for each "rope"?Â

are jpg's better than png's? There are quite a lot of jpg settings to choose from which have you found to work best?

Thread: best way to make a curve | Forum: Photoshop
so when you make an s curve do you put your points at the beginning and end of your line, then crab one end and bend, then grab the other end and bend? you know how you can be totaly perplexed when you do something and then when you think about it later you go Crap!! I was beinding one end and then going to the center and trying to get the rest of it. Upon reflection that was more than likely wrong. am I correct now?

Thread: web page header | Forum: Photoshop
Yes I am using photoshop. Right now the header is 1180 width by 220 high. I have loaded it up into image ready and sliced it up into 10 equal parts. and saved it as html. I then load it into frontpage and preview it. the problem I am getting is that there is still a white gap in the page from the right edge of the header and the right edge of the page. my only guess is that frontpage has a predetermined pixel count for the width of the page and I am not meating it. that is why I wanted to know what the norm for a pixial count was for the width of a page.
Thread: Question about a tut. | Forum: Photoshop
here is the text from the tut in order so you can match it up with the pics uptop. Duplicate the text-layer, clear the layer-styles and press CTRL+I; Set the blending-mode to OVERLAY; Create a new layer above the white text and go to FILTER>RENDER>CLOUDS; Go to FILTER>RENDER>DIFFERENCE CLOUDS and press CTRL+F several times (aprox. 6); Go to FILTER>TEXTURE>GRAIN and add these settings; Now go to FILTER>NOISE>ADD NOISE and add these settings; Now you could also change the background or leave it be ;) See, this is where i am getting confused. He goes from adding noise to talking about the background. I would assuem that if you did everything in order then the gritty layer would simply be on the top of the text layer. but they do not blend. the gritty layer is just sitting there. I have even tried ctl-clicking the text layer to select the text and applying the effect directly to the text instead of having to creat a totaly new layer. this does work to get the grit on the text but it covers up the style effects totaly. I am left with grey and black gritty text. I am about to give up. I need this effect for a web site ai am building for a friend but I may have to choose something els.
