hi lisa! maybe you did not know, but this forum is not the place to discuss about someones more or less talent. in the gallery are so many images every day that one cannot comment them all, even if one could like them all. but to expect this is not realistic and has nothing to do with talent or goodwill at all! what did you expect? a gallery is not like a stage where the public give first an applause when an artist (one of over 1500!)comes in. it's a pity but no surprise that you cannot find friends with your "charming" introduction here. maybe it works better if you take the thorns out of your words? peace! sophie

Thread: Jos Leys Celtic Knot Formula in Ultra Fractal | Forum: Fractals
the formula itself contains a mini-tutorial. just check the small text window where you open the ucl. ;-) good luck! sophie
Thread: Posters | Forum: Fractals
here i am... :-) yes, i uploaded a lot of posters at zazzle.com. the quality is quite good (as far as i got feedback from wojteg, who has one). and of course it depend on what you upload. if you render your images with high resolution you will get good posters. the payment works by check every month. but i sent mine back because i have to pay too much expenses to the bank here in switzerland. and i did not buy yet my posters at zazzle, because of the shipping coasts.

Thread: Thumbnail size | Forum: Fractals
i got the same problem, wojtek. and i resolve it in photoshop by converting the thumbnail with the "save for web" option instead of "save as" and then jpg, like i did before. this makes a big difference in file size i never noticed before.... i can save a thumbnail now with 30% - 60% quality and the file is still small enough for a "renderosity-compatible" thumbnail :-). it seems like the "save for web" option generates a better optimized file.
Thread: Please do not judge an image by look at thumbnails :) | Forum: Fractals
of course i have to decide from the thumbnail to klick on it or not. but finally i have often already posted my comment before i look from who this image was created. not always, but sometimes it happens. so i don't completely understand what the meaning of this "HPP" thing should be. i think very simple regarding this. i like an image or i don't. and this is not depending on the creator of it. (except the fact that some people make very nice things sometimes g) ;-) your images, wojteg, are always original and very nice, and i could not decide which are the best. i just like them all, but can not write comments to each one of them. imagine, if we had no thumbnails at all.... we could only decide by the name of the person or by title if an image is interesting.... i think it's better to judge the first look by thumbnail ;-). this is how the internet works (if it does g). :-)

Thread: Post-processing fractal images | Forum: Fractals
this whole discussion about "purity" seems to me like a very big missunderstanding between people who write to their postings "no postwork" and people who read this and think it's a shame to postprocess any images. but in my opinion it's not really a question of value what's better. if i put a standard-frame in photoshop to an image, i think it will be better to mention this by posting the image. because one could spend hours and nights by trying to make the same frame in ultra fractal. so it's better to know, i think, and fair to tell others where the technique comes from and how it's made. also if i made the frame in ultra fractal (just an example), it could be interesting for others to know, and they can ask me the formula etc. if they know it's a uf technique. now i always wonder about the human nature that tries to turn every information into a principal question!! ;-) happy fractaling! sophie
Thread: New version of BringItIn | Forum: Fractals
many thanks, mark. i tried it, and it's a great tool. it makes a wish come true (to combine my handpainted images with fractals) and i have much fun to play with! :-)
