Well...I've been using XP2 since it came out all along with Vue 4.22 update. So far no issue with saving rendered images. I guess the best is to contact e-on. This is certainly a very very unique 'problem'. Sorry, can't be of much help.

Well it should and I have no other answer. Afraid I could not think of anything else except may be a glitch when you first install. Looks like you have to uninstall clean and re-install again.

Thanks for your offer to help...appreciate that. "..in Vue that you wanted to export to obj"..no not now but I'll take that up someday if I still don't own Vue 4 Pro and the need to do so. I'm waiting for all the upgrade to settle down...looks like it never stop and I dislike having to install program each time they asked for your previous "upgrade from" serial number. If I decide to buy Vue 5 or "infinite"..whatever, I rather buy completely new than to side grade or upgrade. Just me I guess as I'm bad at keeping disc and serial number...can't seem to find them when you need them..LOL! Thanks again.

Thank you Shiollie :) I'm aware of that. Sorry if I did not expressed myself clearly. What I meant was, whoever comes off with the converter utility, hopefully converting Vue 4 terrain into obj or other format be included too. Marque..not sure how you did that thru out of Vue 4 or with other 3rd party conversion utulity beside hearing that Vue Pro can do it...but does that include the texture in .mtl as for objor perhaps if its 3ds, does the texture comes with it to be imported into other 3d program? I aware of Okino Polytrans an Right Hemisphere Deep Explorer and I believe they do not do Vue vob stuff. It would kind of you to let us know how you did that Vue tree conversion though...if its a trade secret, I'll understand :) Thanks.

It be great if some great programmer out there can write a converter utility like that for vob obj to be converted to other more common format..that goes for their trees and terrain too without having to buy the pro version.

Hi there...not sure if I understood your question but if so I do, when you save a rendered image, look carefully at the save extention format..the default "all files" (something like that)has to be change to tif or whatever you choose. Its kind of stupid for e-on to have that as a default.

Hello Mike...yeah!...been a long time :) Vue forum is the only place I visit whenever I get to Renderosity beside looking out for new products. Congratulation for just having the case first for your new PC but eventually, you get there. Casing these days are not cheap..mine cost more than my MB...and yet to include the extra cooling fan. Not sure how to go from here as far as Vue4 and its openGL problem is concern but can't keep going in search for the 'right' card unless.. At any rate, I hope Vue5 or Vue5 Pro may work out for me in the future as there seem to have no solid solution for Vue4 till date.

Thank you and read that before. It does not say what e-on themselves uses. I have a second PC bought just 2 months ago, an Althon 3.2/1 Gig/ASUS K8N (somthing like that)with a nVidia Fx 5900 (128 Meg) and OpenGL in Vue4.22 did not work for me. OS use is XP Pro SP2. Not sure about Vue4 Pro and up as I do not have them. My current system is stilll my old faithful Dual P3 1Gig and the funny thing is that OpenGL works in earlier version of Vue4 but not after any upgrade with my old 3d labs video card. This system now has a nVidia Quad Pro series with latest driver, Vue4 and upgrades still does not work. Switching off OpenGL option is not a solution for me but just getting away from the problem.

I think its not necessary for Bryce 5.5 to have a public beta testing as DAZ3d is just improving on a faster rendering engine for it which would be released by year end. Moreover its not a new program like Vue 5 which I consider "Major"over Vue 4. Nahhh..me ain't gonna dump my money on something I don't know and this is just pure simple. I can take a few buggy ride but too much of it and on going never ending patches, I can stand it. Worst being one corrective bug lead to another..well, it seem.
