I first say Poser @ work. We had a copy of Poser 3 in the media design department (I still can't figure out where it came from since nobody there ever used it for anything) anyhow I started playing with it and thought it would be fun to take the textures and modify them. My first couple attempts were really sad. Then I started surfing the web thinking.. there have got to be other people out there who use poser and would create things that they would want to share with the rest of the world. Just about the first thing that I ran across was a site that had a bunch of mobius textures for the p3 female. It just blew me away, and inspired me to make more of my own textures.

yeah... anything you convert you should post... anything that you tweak you should post... if you do something that makes anything cooler... or just different.. post it... that way everybody can riff off of everybody else's stuff and we can get really cool textures.. anyway.. I fixed some broked links that were towards the end... and on top of that... I zipped everything up.. (had to make it two zips because of file size restrictions...) navigate over to the site and the they are links at the top of the page!

ok... here's how I think the rating system should work.. you can rate an image in the following ways: +2 - very good +1 - pretty good 0 - average -1 - below average -2 - not very good at all.. and then you can TALLY the votes instead of averaging them... that way: 10 ratings of excellent and one rating of pretty good doesn't result in a lower ranking image than one that just had one 5 pretty crazy.. but it would be easy to implement and also to preserve all of the existing ratings...

lips on real people are often vague as well... additionally... highlights added to the iris by poser do not exactly give you the same effect as one added on the texture... but perhaps these are two good things to keep in mind for other textures...

Well... just got back... I got a job offer to work at Angel Studios in Carlsban, CA... means relocating to the left coast, but I'm seriously considering it...

yeah... $150 is about right... more expensive for different levels of access too.. I'm from Philadelphia, PA but I'm flying out for the conference...
