Thread: Trying to remove Reality | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
if you run Poser Pro in 32 byt it will still work! 64 byt is deadDid delete the runtime python folders for Reality in previous installations and every instance of Reality folders. And it works!
So sad to see it go, but I kept some of the props like the ball. That was a great way to see how the material would look like.

The main issue is not that a exe has Hyperlinks, this is normal ! Already just for the activation or the statistical collections on your behavior. In some cases even to collect information's about your depending structures and files.
Links to sites that have nothing to do with the program they have no real dependent reason to be there, nor dead stuff ! I assure you that Poser would run with no difference without all these Hyperlinks, you could even remove al the Local http://127.0.0.1 addresses without influencing the Poser behavior at all! It would rather avoid issues on run. Sure the stuff is Not from Bondware they just did not clean it out , not even questioning why google.com , https://iptc.org and quiet some others are embedded in Poser. Sure you can leave it there, those who can just remove it by them self.
Could be that they have good reasons leaving all this stuff or just do not know how to make a deep clean.
@ Rhia474
no reason to worry and be *deeply* hesitant, you can save a copy and just open up the copy, it is just a hesitant excuse !
it might not be the principal reason of this alarm in F secure but the alarm was there so there is somewhere a linking that F secure does not like. I stumbled on all this stuff actually because I made some searches every time when Issues come up to solve them my self, to get the Program stable.

you can fix it by simply adding this line into your Host file ....Interesting. I routinely get an error message upon starting Poser, about failing to load a .xml file or something. I just ignore it and it's fine.
It's not all the time. Mostly when I haven't opened Poser in awhile. Happens occasionally with all three versions of Poser I currently have installed.
127.0.0.1 www.contentparadise.com
127.0.0.1 www.producturlsupport.com
this will remove this annoying error in Poser 11

Well tis is because they do not know where to look, for you there is a simple way that you can check. just open for example the "Poser EXE in Notepad++" search for Http "Incremental Search" and I am certain that you will have success finding some of the Hyperlinks. Not cleaning out a exe can also be a reason why it is getting larger and larger, compare it with DS starter 79 Kb vs Poser over 40 meg , guess DS has allot less hyperlinking on boot I would say that Poser is having at least 20meg of crap in it . DS At least have it cleaned out !You keep saying that, but you never actually say WHERE in the program these are. Can you help us a bit by specifying where you see these, because multiple people stated they don't see the same you do.
Thanks!
@ randym77
yes there are some issues in prior poser versions that you can fix, for example producturlsupport can give a error in Poser 11 right after boot. Contentparadise gives errors in prior Poser versions in the Library. It also depends if the Xml files are still existent of if they have been changed in Poser, but still the boot will try to access these in any case.

I am not certain, but these Issues that might not even be issues could be caused due the large amount of Hyperlinks in the starter, some seem to be suspicious, others lead to sites that are closed since quiet a while. Some links do actually not give any reasonable explanation to be in the poser starter. For me allot of them do not belong into Poser at all !
these are just a few of many others that are found in the starter. It gives the impression that Poser has not bee cleaned out correctly and that such things in a program sure can cause a Antivirus giving some reactions when starting it up. When the Owner is changing they should at least clean it a little out after new releases they make.

The setup I'm working at is slowly fully working, the scene and creature above are direct imports, there was no more need to make any material setups nor corrections, right out of the box! So not a export of DS. It is something I like working at, bridging different programs together, finding solutions to combine programs I work at to communicate. But actually not that much into DS, I like the models they make but not using DS. I am already trying to adapt it in the opposite direction since quiet a while but never found the right solutions, DS to Poser works perfectly, but after some evolution it does not seem to work quiet well in Poser to DS. I always say Poser eats it all, actually incredible, the hardest part is always the opposite direction, but for other programs I already found for most communications the solutions.@vopehov506, this looks very good.
What do you want the DS Bridge being capable of?
Full Import features for Props and Figures, including the transfer of textures seems too much to ask, I guess?
It is sure possible to export in different formats and reimport in Poser but this is the long path that often does not give the best results. Bridging is the best one from my point of view and a real time saver.
When I get some time I'll want to get a little into Reallusion, to see if it is also possible building up a reasonable communication with Poser ! challenging stuff. Time is mostly the main issue, right now taking apart this Poser13 and yes it could have some future, I just do not feel very comfortable with that call home feature and the large amont of the hard coded hyperlinks in the starter, as for the rest it is ok.
The castle... well there I noted that the water could be a little better or would need to be adjusted manually. The Laps there I only increased a little the emissions, but less would of been better to keep there details.

DS bridged, Castle test, in combination with the extended sunlight emission and the space dome for sun Planets and stars.

running some tests with the DS bridge I been working at, actually for prior poser but now for P13 in combination with the sunlight i am setting up.
DS articulated Product in Poser 13 Superfly ( Bridge Import )
Advantages to DS ... allot faster rendering, not that heavy on the system, extreme high details.

hborre posted at 9:06 AM Thu, 11 May 2023 - #4464977Could be that the Influence strength needs to be increased from 1 - 7 and not the node strength from 25 - 50 I think this could create a higher color contrast ?! I am not in Poser atm so can't check. For my emissive light I have quiet different setups also when coloring or adding trans falloff , also want to try creating fire lights that could simulate sun corona on fire, or for simple camp fires. One thing I had noticed is that I had to increase the emission strength to get the light to reach in some cases. Setting the emission strength to something like 50 on the ceiling of a large building such as a warehouse had virtually no effect so I came to the conclusion there was some falloff taking place. It seems to work much like a area light in that respect.Actually, looking at some quick renders, it appears that the PhysicalSurface Node emissive properties are already internally set to inverse square or Quadratic. This is great but if you want light to behave linearly or emit a constant illumination you'll need to use the Material shader I posted above.

Just trying out your setup, sure a great addition :) so when time I can make some material setups to apply on my morphing light props. have to make this setup visual in the posing view this helps setting up the lights in rooms and check if that light also increases the skin details not flatting it up, so that even veins get visible on the skin.Actually, looking at some quick renders, it appears that the PhysicalSurface Node emissive properties are already internally set to inverse square or Quadratic. And this is the result of such light type when rendered in superfly, It will even Increase the details of your skins. Very useful if not indispensable with superfly, depending what you want to present. You can spread the light or set the distances and the angles, effects are almost infinitive.

This is how I am working out the lights for superfly atm. using these morphing lamp emitters building them up to work with that superfly engine. Also Building sun lights and moon lights that I noted could be very useful when I was making that desert scene.

This one is far from the past, it shows what creators really were capable of doing even with a way less advanced Poser and creation tools that we are having today.
