Quote - If the current Beta dies in a week or so, and so far there is no indication of a new release, what do we do then?
The expiration date for the current beta is Feb. 10.
They expect another version to be available Feb. 9

Have you updated the WACOM driver?

I have had no problem with either Windows Vista (32 bit) or Windows 7 (64 bit).
Thread: What is the best size for a graphics tablet? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have 2 WACOM tablets (PTZ3). A 4x5, and a 6x11. I got the larger tablet to complement the 22" monitor I use with Windows 7 (just updated from Windows Vista).
The 4x5 worked well with a 17" (square) monitor, but was too sensitive for the larger monitor.
I seldom use a mouse! Tablets are absolute position, and pressure sensitive. Mice are relative positioners, and too often "off scale". So, the pen is faster than the mouse.
What I found is that the hand-eye coordination thing is important. You should select a tablet that has a similar aspect ratio to your monitor. The largest tablet that you can accommodate in your work space (and afford) is recommended. Small tablets with large monitors tend to be very sensitive! And, yes the mouse does not work well.
You should be aware there is a "learning curve" to use the pen (just as when you learned to write or draw).
Also note DAZ Studio3 has big time problems with graphics tablets (I submitted a bug report).
All other programs I use work well. The Adobe applications have the most extensive support for pressure sensitivity.
Note, the WACOM PTZ3 tablets have been discontinued, and replaced by the new PTZ4 series.
I use a PS2 keyboard, and mouse because the BIOS in my system does not support USB. Without BIOS USB support I can not interact with the BIOS or recovery console when things go wrong. Or interact with "offline" diagnostic or repair tools.

GrandmaT,
This may be a little late, but--
The file you probably want is not included in either the M4 Base, or Morphs++. It is in the "Michael 4 Skin Maps Standard Res." This product is included in the "Michael 4 Complete bundle", and the "M4 Pro pack". There are also mats in the M4 Elite products.

There is a legacy content bundle which seems to include everything.
Where?
I have tried to find such a bundle without success. (Puppet Master is NOT it.) I have Puppet Master. I is a python script, and some data files to transfer & update content for the older figures to newer figures. I does not include the geometries for the older figures (needed for some of the available older content, especially the ones that include an encrypted alternate mesh.
Thread: Poser Physics updates? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Poser Physics is currently available in the "new" CP store under "Plugins&Scripts". The detail indicates Poser 6, 7 & Pro. Nice to know it also seems to work with Poser 8.

InfoCentrial,
There are both rsr to png, and rsr to obj converters available in the Rederosity free section under utilities. (rsr2png, and rsr2obj) I installed both in my Windows Vista system. They work!
You just start rsr2png, point it at your runtime, click the recursive box, then click convert and in about 15 or so minutes all of the thumbnail rsr files will have a corresponding png file. It will tell you it can not convert the obj rsr files. You can use the rsr2obj for that if you really need. But I found there is usually both obj and rsr files provided so conversion is really not needed.
