Uh...why would you send anyone to CGTalk? Nobody uses poser over there...most people over there are original artists meaning everything is usually theirs as in they made it themselves.

"Rendering, however, is not one of those actions. Rendering is very intensive and almost always utilizes all of the cpu. To see an example of this, burn a cd and watch how you can still pretty much get around and work. Render something, though, and you'll see that things slow to a standstill." Acutally I find that to be exactly the oppisite. I really cant do anything when burn CDs yet I can put Lightwave in the background rendering a 720x480 1000 frame animation and never even know is still going. But of course thats Lighhtwave I dont remember about bryce,poser,max,or maya so cant say about them.

Without a demo you wont know till you install. You'll be more than happy or let down in a big way. I thnk thats where they really messed up is not coming up with a really disabled demo for everyone to test on each ones machine to see if it was going to work. But thats me.............
