Well, I contacted the vendor (I always do and yes I agree, I've never had bad experience with their feedbacks/fixes), explained the problem including what he had in his texture lines (lines starting with "textures/....) and he gave me what he already updated..... blindfolded... they all still had that problem. I can say that's my first bad experience. Either (said vendor) didn't care or (said vendor) really didn't know what to do (so I'm gonna send my fix up for the product to be updated).
My major complaint is the worthless Renderosity testers. And I'm gonna email Renderosity on this.

lol, I should just start telling off these bad vibes in renders and load them here, and say "this is from so and so, it says it's got DS mats, but it came with crap (or) but it came with mat files that don't work", then do the credit thing which will be on their product pages. That'll show 'em.
Hell, I've even inspected a non-working file and to my horror it was mostly copied/pasted Poser lines. Crap no wonder it didn't work!! And they've been tested? lol goodness.
I agree with tparo, there are some vendors who do great work here, and I strongly support them (unfortunately most people do products I don't care for). The thing is, if they're gonna say "DS mats included" or "DS supported", it had better support and look good in DS like it does in Poser. And we better see some promos done in DS. Hell, they don't have to exactly match, but just look good where people don't have to spend hundreds of hours setting things up before they can render (or use them later). And if they don't know how to run the program and make 'em look good, look for someone who can. I've helped numberous vendors and they were very happy with my work.
But if they don't want to do neither, simply don't support DS. Beats being dishonest and making themselves a "bad vibe" vendor.
Rendo's not the only place though, we get a bunch of flat looking (no specular/no bumpy) things at Daz3D as well, a lot! I got in trouble there for narking them off lol.
Thread: Hide/Show Hair transparency mat in Poser... help? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Python guys have lots of little scripts that do this stuff :) can you state exactly what you need to happen , both ways ?
Its probably easiest to save the original as a mat file to restore later.
Exactly what I'm trying to do is make a mat that only effect the transparancy, without effecting the rest, such as diffuse, ambient, etc... to turn off and on a part of a hair in the material zone. I'll try to explain again my idea... Say, I have my hair set with brown textures, I want to turn part of the tails off (turn it transparent), then I change my mind and turn it back on, which will then be brown again. Ok, so I change my mind and change it to blonde, then I turn the tail part off, then turn it on again, which will be blonde again.

Good to know I'm not alone on this idea LOL! Wish there was a way though, that would be a nice option! Maybe we outa bug the python guys... :D :D

Ugh, I was suspicious this might be the answer lol. I mean, I'm certainly not an expert in Poser, but having quite some good experience in mats (especially characters), I pretty much knew this might not work! :(
Thanks a lot for such a quick reply, Laurie!

Quote - S4 basic has been free since she was released. If you are running P8 or PP 2010, V4's clothing will scale down to her frame.
It's not the scaling I'm talking about, it's the PBM, such as inner/outer thigh contour, outer waist contour, breast volume, upper glute depth, pubic debth, etc, etc... most clothes that include S4 don't have squat for S4's PBM, they usually only come with her FBM. Morphing Clothes will convert clothes to fit whatever you want and you have all the choices you want. It's great to know that P8 scales the clothes down to her though, I didn't know that :)

Number one recommendation for her, for better clothes fits and to take advantage of her PBM (partial body morphs) is Morphing Clothes sold here, as there are hardly any clothes that come with her PBM fits, if they come with S4 fits at all, they're usually FBM (Full Body Morphs).
This way you can also fit old clothes to her as well.
Got an S4 character coming soon (If Renderosity would hurry up) that takes advantage of S4 PBM morphs not only to look gorgeous, but also for a young look (3 ages). So clothes fits is a must have.

Thread: OT: What like to accomplish 3DGraphics-wise, befefore world ends in 2012? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
lol... last year we delivered some cabinets to some guy just before Christmas, and he was telling us that the world's gonna end in 2011. My boss changed the subject to shrug him off 'cause we didn't believe it, and we laughed about it on the way bac to the shop. I said, "so if the world's gonna end in 2011, why in the world did he just buy a bunch of cabinets from us when he thinks he's got such a short time?" LOL. We laughed the whole day.
This thread's another reason to laugh and reminds me of that guy lol, what's with these lunes telling us stuff like this? shakes head

Thread: What do you think is the best Poser support tools out there? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That's cool, RobynsVeil, I had no clue you were kidding :)
I've no clue how to embed links here too (actually I forgot the html code lol). But since Rendo doesn't want to make it easy on us by giving us back the "link" button with this lame new forum script we have, I'll just write out the urls (or copy/paste) and the people can copy/paste the urls to get there.

Search is your friend
...quite a respond there, I'd say more, but I'll just say this, do you honestly believe a newbie or one that doesn't know much about these programs (referring to the original poster), would even know where to search? Guarantee, if you said that on Daz forums, you'd get more responds "not" in your favor.
