Thread: Part number? | Forum: Photoshop
The seller of the program MUST transfer the "License" (EULA) with the program as well or you will have "physical" possession of Photoshop by unable to register it.
As stated too, if it's an upgrade (though the CD does contain a full program) it will look for a previous version installed on your drive before continuing with the installation.
not sure about the trust factor when buying older commercial software on ebay, but DEFINITELY steer clear of any "OEM" packed offers!!

i'm usually a "start-from-scratch" kinda' guy when it comes to styles and actions. but if you want to get a little more familiar with styles, check out Al Wards stuff on "Manipulating Styles in Photoshop" he's also pretty sharp with "actions" so you might find some good tuts on that as well... :) retrocity

Thread: copy one layer set from one document to another. | Forum: Photoshop
Check your colour modes: IMAGE --->MODE --->... if you are trying to copy from an INDEX to RGB you'll see the circle/slash (universal symbol for NO) - you'll need to change the mode to RGB - should be fine after that... :) retrocity
Thread: Adobe CS Help | Forum: Photoshop
yeah an example helps to give the best solution... other than that, you can look around the HELP files (F1) for topics like "extracting image" "pen tool" "masking"... each one of these methods have +/- to them and depend on the image as to which one to use... retrocity

Thread: Layers and Backgrounds | Forum: Photoshop
for CS2 users, you can take advantage of dreamer101's idea by using the Scripts Events Manager and set up a script to run at start up that makes the background transparent... :) retrocity
Thread: Flipping out...could use some help | Forum: Photoshop
do you only use the stylus in PS?? or a better question would be, does it also seem "jumpy" in other programs??
if it's only wonky in PS then i'd toss my PREFs file. sometime your preference file in PS gets corrupted and make the app act all wonky. tossing the file (a new one is rebuilt next time you launch PS) often clears up your problem...
BUT, if the stylus is acting stupid and jumping around the screen even when you're out on the desktop and not even in PS, then it could be a driver issue or you getting "mixed" signals from both the mouse and the stylus.
