Thread: You know what's weird? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
 I catch myself doing weird stuff like that. I'm staring at manaquins in store windows or plucking something off the shelf to see how it's designed. I go to the fabric stores & start filtering through clothes patterns, talking to myself & wondering if I can create a model based on this pattern. What's worse is when my husband catches me staring at a really hot guy. You know what I'm thinking: "I'd like to run him through a laser scanner & make a character out of his naked, sweaty body-Hubba hubba."

Thread: Possible to Rename Material Zones? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes. Simply use CR2Editor or Notepad++. Search for the name of the material & replace it. Easy peasy. :)

It looks more like Maggie Siff from Son's of Anarachy, but it could also be Katey Sagal. They have very similar features.

Thread: 3D object painter - what is the best/most affordable one? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just the other day I was talking to a friend who does python scripting & suggested the same thing. I'd love to have a script/plugin that would allow for 3d painting right inside Poser. I think this would be a great tool for Poser users, but it would not be easy to accomplish.
The others have given you some good advice. I'd like too add though that Google is your friend. You can find anything on Google if you can think of various ways to mix your keywords. If one set of keywords don't get the results you want, try something different. There are tons of information on the subject. Do your homework, shop around, test some products in your price range (most have demos), and then decide what works best for you.

Thread: Conforming Shoes- dumb distribution questions. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Letterworks,
Thank you for that information. Very helpful & appreciated. Will definitely clean up the PBMCCs. I don't want to bloat the file.
The shoes are actually flip flops so I'd only need toe & foot. What I did was open V4, injected her with the A4, G4, & other body morphs I wanted, and then saved it as an injected copy of V4. Then I took into Morphing Clothes & transfered to the shoes. To me it was easier than opening each character file & transfering them individually. I didn't have any of the moprhs dialed in though. Does that make them 'active morphs'?
I feel like such a noob. :blushing:

Thread: What Impact will Poser's new Fitting Room Have? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I would think it would make a big impact. Folks like me who can't rig to save their lives will find it extremely helpful & I'm sure it improves workflow for experienced users as well.
I drool when I look at the feature description & all the new changes to the others. I can't wait to upgrade, but right now is a bad time for me. Hopefully for Christmas it'll go on sale again.

It was pinching at the hip with the sharp bend. Here's a wireframe snapshot of it with the new dynamic settings.

Thread: Nightmares in Dynamics & Rigging | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The dress was modeled as a dynamic outfit. Everything is done except the dynamic settings aren't playing nice. I've checked & double checked it. When I change the dynamic control settings, it looks fine. There are no breaks in the mesh that I can find. There are also no bones below the hip in the rigged version.
I'm to the point where I'm ready to remodel the dress so that the breasts don't become exposed when it drapes & it adds some modern versatility to it. The only reason I was thinking of rigging it was to cover the breasts more, but I just can't get the rig to work & I dislike the way it drapes when rigged as a hybrid so that only leaves me to remodel it, retexture the one piece, & use transmaps for the Egyptian designs to give it the illusion of a completely open front.
