Laugh like a young child,
eyes wide at their first snowfall.
Head back, tongue out, bliss!
Tag you're it!

OK I think I've got this now.
Left with rain, no snow.
How will the skiers survive?
The boats! Water ski!
Having once kissed the Blarney Stone, and being naturally gregarious, I find the learning curve on this economical artform very steep!LOL!

Are we still doing winter? I mean obviously you are but does the challenge remain the same? I love yours by the way. OK, Can they have more than one verse?
Strange days indeed!
In Massachusetts,
the winter,this year, brings us;
heat, rain, and flowers.
In California,
there was over a foot of snow!
What is a defrost?
Perhaps the Earth has
tilted off it's axis. Pluto
gains it's grand revenge!

I once had a fox hit me! I was idling at a crosswalk light, there was no damage to Sir Red other than a very stunned look. He ran off shaking his head at the tale he'd have for Vixen and the kits! My daughter is somewhat of a magnet for turkeys. They don,y fly well and sort of launch themselves hopefully skyward off low hills. On her way home there's a section of road which has a turkey farm. She's replaced 4 windsheilds in her car! There were a number of dents as well, she finally decided to take a longer route when she bought a new car. BTW I agree w/ Damia this is such a cool thread! There's one in the writers forum, Drekkin started a Haiku challenge Dec 5, I posted Dec 20. That's the whole thread! Wanna hear a haiku? It' calledÂ
"Winter Jewels"
Skies,winter grey. Stun!
The senses reel! The beauty,
 of an ice ringed moon!
That's all folks! Only 18 people have even checked it out! This is much more lively so I hope no one minds if I hang out a while!

I like it! It has that, "We used all the good stuff for company, we'll have to make Stone Soup feel" Stone soup is also known as Summa soup. You add summa this and summa that. It never tastes the same twice and it always tastes good. I would get rid of the potato after the photo session though. I'd love to see the comments out front though. BJ

OMG! Do you guys ever step outside your own heads and look at your photos! This is amazing! There must be a thousand shades of blue and green! The sense of chained power about to break free is positively awe inspiring! The sunlight through the water is intense! Someone should start a challenge, " I Didn't Think It Was Good Enough!". Post them in the gallery and sit back and be amazed at the positive reactions you get. There may be some critical reason you feel that way but when you make these descisions bear in mind not all of the viewers are photographers. Maybe Two Pynts was right, I should post my lens caps and fingertips, to show you not good enough! Sorry I have little room to criticize as I'm not a photog but I have been getting these posts in my e-mail and find it a very lively place. I do hope I have given no offense. Thanks for allowing me to speak.

Hey Tom,
Most of what gets posted here is more than worth it! I love the stories that go w/ the images almost as much as the images themselves. They are quite interesting, and I know that many of the images speak for themselves, but the stories speak for the Photog and his/her feelings at the time. It sometimes causes one to re-look as it were and see an image in a whole new light.

Tom,
While living in Virginia, my oldest daughter and I visited many battle sites and cemetarys. She often saw and heard things that could not be explained. I often had the feeling we were not the only ones there. She spent one day making faces at, " that soldier over there, who missed his little girls big much", He's a teacher back at home. I didn't see him! She carried away a pebble from the site and said he had given it to her as a "remembrance token", at four and a half I found this a little chilling. She was a precocious child but the words were still beyond her!
but that's just us. BJ

Hey Andreas, I know you're much for poetry, but after seeing your tree, as well as several in your store, I think you might enjoy one I wrote, It's called Mother Oak.Â

Thank You twopynts! I've never been in a forum before. I am appalled at this! If I want to save a picture for two days until my grand daughter comes over I ask permission! I Bravo to you all for defending yourselves and each other! I think mermaid deserves a medal of excellence! Her diligent ferreting found over a hundred stolen images! I'm glad to be a part of a community where most people are so willing to help each other.
