... and bookmarked Rendervisions as well :) Seems like a good publicity stunt to me :) Only joking, in truth I'm appalled by the email rosity admins sent to LC.

You do them yourself. I have made some clothing textures that try to imitate a "dirty" look ... and rusty, ripped, chainmail armor and so fort. But the fact is: you need to do them yourself.

Thread: Will increasing my virtual memory make Poser work faster? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The slowing down comes from the fact that there is so much memory available that the memory-management needs extra addresses (so called "pages") to access it all and thus more time is spent accessing the disk than in a system with a smaller virtual memory setting. You can think of it like when you have an address book with a 1000 times and another book with 10 names... searching for you friend's address from the latter book is much more quicker because of more efficient indexing.

Well, it really depends on many factors. In practice, though, increasing virtual memory doesn't much affect the way Poser performs. What Poser really needs is lots of physical memory. Accessing disks for the virtual memory can be hundred times slower than accessing physical memory. If you haven't had any "out of memory" warnings, I probably would advise against changing the settings.

Ernyoka said the magic word there. Get yourself a tool for watermarking your art if you want to upload and be confident that it won't be used anywhere else. Sure... it ruins some part of the picture. But it clearly labels the work as your own. Think of it as a signature and not as a nuisance.

Take a look at: http://www.mcs.surrey.ac.uk/Personal/R.Knott/Fibonacci/phi2DGeomTrig.html for information about phi geometry and hints on psychologically more effective placement of image elements.

Positioning of image elements in the final render is too underrated. Time and time again I see rendered images with no attention paid to the locations of image elements within an image. I try looking at different images and observing the spots I pay attention FIRST (first impression). Psychologically the first impression counts a lot. Renowned artists (those whose paintings sell for millions of dollars) use things like Golden Sections, Golden Spirals and such to catch the eye in where they want and create a peaceful harmony within the picture. Placing a dude in front of a camera and taking a snap shot ... instead of leaving some space (perhaps using a blurred or otherwise harmonic background texture) on the other side of the picture and placing the eye on the exact location of a Golden Section. My two cents.
