BTW Sheila, in your original joke - if the female brain cell was in the bloke, what happened to the poor woman without a brain? (".)

If a policeman pulls me over for speeding does he have to take me to court? Does he even have to give me a ticket? BIG QUESTION : When he's on or off duty do you honestly think he sticks to speed limits himself?!? Unless Rosity is paranoid enough to have someone going around (voluntarily) checking that Mods are being good boys and girls, I severely doubt that anyone is ever going to mention to the mods that AAAGHH SHOCKING Someone has... A JOKE PICTURE!!!! in their thread. What I'm saying is, I doubt you even have to seem to be being an ogre. Am I asking you to turn a blind eye? Up to you to decide. I do know that when I was a supervisor for a national company, you had to decide if you were One of the team or the Leader of the team. Company pressures always force you into the latter category, I never found a single person who did both and kept his/her job, I get the feeling that Rosity is of the same ilk. btw, I've got a few joke books and ALL of them have copyright notices in the front - and cartoons are copyrighted - they are only visualised jokes. If jokes are ok, cartoons must be ok, so photo jokes must be ok etc etc etc etc (",) This little rant (C) Mikey. Dunno why it's still a big issue myself. Let's face it, even the Greeks saw sex purely for procreation and buggery with another young male as the ultimate pleasure.... Ok, not sure I could go along with that, but after all this time you'd think we'd have come to accept it. And how come guys are happy to watch video's of 2 girls getting intimate, but 2 guys gets the 'Eject' button working?!? Yeah, really like the way you've presented it too. If you wanna post any pics of the honeymoon night, please - feel free ;-) (",)

You know what it's like Onsy, they catch the young mums when they're out with the kiddies and grannies, the grannies see the demo pics of brats in 'cutypie' poses and think the sausage-roll smeared brat beside them will look the same..... 35 for 3 little pictures later, they know different ;-P It's actually a very proffessional-looking setup though, to be honest, and they do bring out the best in the 'models'. I had a nice time watching them turn a girl of about 18/20 into a wannabe model. You could happily picture her on either page 3 or your bed. Or both, if you're called Mikey ;-) (",)

Not all the 'toys' are for kids though! Me an my office-mate bought those radio control tanks that when you shoot the other person their controller gives them a shock! Sooo funny. We normally keep them under the desk and when a unsuspecting driver comes in and sees them, they invariably ask for a go.... and get zapped!!! he he he (",)

snigger Obviously got you a bit TOO mellow and relaxed ;-) That's the reason I have a lava lamp on my desk and a plasma ball at my bedside.....I know it sounds like a strange place, but the colourations on the ceiling are relaxing, and watching the lightning is soothing if your mind is still in active mode. (btw, try putting the ball bit of a plasma ball real close to your digital clock.... the time spins forward, like REALLY fast!!!) (",)

I really like the pic, and the leaf is a great subject, but the sharpness of the skeletal section just doesn't do it for me.....especially around that solid dark broken(?) bit of stalk... If that was soft like the rest of the image I think it would be better..... I guess I'm just a bit contrary though ;-) (",)

db, if Rosity has this stance it should apply to ALL COPYRIGHTED MATERIALS, not just pictures, so you should remove each and every one of those jokes coz they've been distributed around the web umpteen times, just like those pictures, and according to international copyright law the writers of those jokes have copyright to them. Oh, and every instance of lyrics being posted, ditto. Oh, and every quote from every poem and book, ditto. It's not as if the pictures are tracable back to the copyright owners to ask their permission, or as if they are being passed off as anothers work. This sort of high-handedness is exactly the behaviour that upsets us all and brings back the negative vibes.... just when we were actually getting somewhere! (",)

Once again, thanks guys. Shee, thanks for noticing that. I very, very rarely use borders on my images, but on this one I did it especially to emphasise the isolation and the 'lonely' feeling. Not just of an unkown journey alone, but also of the indiviualy loneliness we all feel when someone passes on. Maybe sometime I'll have the courage to post my true feelings on death and the reasons behind them. For now, I can just say I completely beleive in an after life and rather than death being a frightening lonely thing I would see it as a peaceful and fulfilling transition. (",)
Thread: Advice needed on a strange cropping! | Forum: Photography
Shee, she looks further away in the top one coz the picture is smaller than the second one, which is further emphasised by the crop.... ;-) Now, I like the first one still, but I really like the second one. It's like, BAM! she's there to look at and that is that! Nowhere for your eyes to wander, she IS the subject, full stop. I know this is the point that I get niggly, but it's the way I work myself so I'm not just doing it to be critical... I look at the pic and think about what I AM looking at and what I SHOULD be looking at. (When these are the same I'm usually finished, see?) At the moment I am looking at her earring. It's brighter than everything else around it - I would mask it and add a touch of a burn to tone it down. And there's a white spot on her tooth that's doing my head in too. But that's it. What you need to remember though is anything above is just my point of view, or the way I would do it - it doesn't mean it agrees with what you want or how you want the picture to appear.....when I was younger, more influenced by people who knew better and not so vain I also used to ask for comments. And (this bit is totally true, if not entirely believable, Shell!) I tried EVERYTHING that EVERYONE suggested. Over time I learned which tips to adopt and which tips didn't suit my style. Now I'm arrogant enough to ignore what people think and do the picture how I damn well want whether it's right or wrong :-D (",)

lol - oh, gee Shell, thanks....you really know how to make a guy feel good about himself! The black eye was done with make-up, but when I made the pic mono it barely showed...as it is here it is quite heavily enhanced in PS. Apart from that postwork was removing the school logo from her jumper and burning section of the image to get the shadowed effects. (",)
