If I remember from another post a couple of months ago Bryce is not supported by either a network or by duel processers. You must dedicate one process for Bryce. (some people dedicate one processer for Bryce and one for Poser so they can render at the same time.) Boni

Thread: Hi to everyone again! | Forum: Bryce
Hi, SaNiTaRiUm, there have been a lot of changes. Roy is doing a grand job of managing things here and if you want to expand your Poser help "Poser Forum Online" has a new site (see link at sidebar). There's more out there. We have a great community. Let's all remember that! Greetings. Boni

Thread: What Monitor Resolution are u guys running on??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm surprized because if I'm not mistaken the Viewsonic uses a Sony Trinitron screen. It's been a couple years since I was in hardware sales so I could be mistaken. It might have to do with which model you have. I've always thought that Viewsonic was a cheaper way to get a Sony monitor. Let me know what you guys know. I'm out of the loop. Peace Boni

Okay, you guys are going to throw tomatoes at me when I tell you this, (and I still kick myself) OT - After reviewing some of my work back in 1990 James Bama offered to take me on as an aprentice ... but I didn't have the transportation to Wapiti to work with him. A move I regret to this day. It was only aobut 30 miles away near the East Gate of Yellowstone. sigh oh, what might have been. But I've followed his career ever since (and before for that matter). Just a sideline. Thanks for letting me OT. I still think that his work can be a great insperation to posers all over. The authentic costumes alone. And the faces, wow. OKay, did that bring it back on topic. ;) Peace guys. (and gals) Boni

Arthur, I have a challenge for you. Have any covers by James Bama. I knew him when I lived in Cody, Wyoming and he's a great artist. He did a lot of book covers in the earlier days. I'd love to see them. I only get to see his old west work now. He does incredible, inspirational detail. boni

I hear you ... as for the video card, I've ordered a 32 mg video card. Shop arround, the price of those things are going down, but also please contact Gateway on compatability, better to know before you buy. (I sold computers and software for four years retail and did tech work after that). The campatability issue goes with any periferal you buy. 'Plug'n'play" is a nice term, but it doesn't always work that way. Good luck. I've just done my budgeting and still can't get my system for a couple more months. sigh, it'll have Poser 4 and Bryce 4. Wow. Boni

Okay ... I have a different idea based on what you've told us. You have a Gateway. Upgrade to a new one. get the 27 gig + CDRW + Zip drive. (That's what I'm doing.) you can use their credit plan and just pretty much trade in and request a transfer of data. Hea, it's worth a shot and get you into a newer system all the way around. Just a thought. Boni

Thread: An oldie, but loved one... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I love the image, I can see the love and work that went into it. I'm a purest I guess, but the one thing that bugs me is shadows. there is a conspicuous (sp) lack of sahdows on the countertop, around the chairs and stools, where the woman is sitting. Is this just a feature we as posers nedd to get use to? Am I being a b**t? I'm a fine artist, and notice these nit picky things. I really do love it, the shadows just bug me. Is this an OVerlay of sorts or rendered in Bryce? You can flame me if you want. Boni (Please no tomatoes though, they are so hard to wash out of silk)

Thread: Wish there was more interest over here | Forum: Bryce
I must admit, I balance between being here and being onthre Deplphi Bryce forum, and this is much easier, but there are so many more members there (and newly made friends). I don't want to "dis" the other group, but I'd like to see them come over here, it's so much easier here ... and friendlier somehow. Boni

Thread: ATTENTION TRIPOD USERS!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I found if you right click and show the URL, highlight and copy it, then pste it into your address line, then click on it, it will come up. But who wants to do all of that all the time. Maybe we should contact Tripod and complain. Just a thought. Boni

Got a challange ... first in Poser 3, then hopefully in poser four. I have an old picture of my roommate. Whe she was 15 She looks very cherokee in it, gorgious. Anyway, any advice on how I can take this photo and make a texture from the face. Beyond the wonderful tips at the top of this thread. Boni
