An Overview of Poser Content Structure
It has images to help you locate where everything goes & it tells you what files to put where. This should help too. :)

Tony,
I know that, but the front of the shoe wasn't bending properly because they are quite longer than where the toe ends. I feel that rigging it worked best. Not to mention, I learned something new. :)

What about the bends? I tried to smart prop them & the bends were crazy when I moved the foot.

Thread: Tutorials on Poser Dynamics - Hair and Cloth | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you so very much for the manuals, aRtBee! I've been struggling with dynamics since I got PP2012 & this really explains a lot. Wonderful! Now if I can only apply them to the outfit I'm doing now, I'll be happier than a pig in a poke. :)

Thank you, Janl.
Quote - It's very pretty! If you are looking for something more "pleated," there's a nice Pleat Ring model here in the Rendo freebies: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=68255
It creates a nice uniformly pleated item.
Glitterati3D,
Thank you. I downloaded as soon as I saw it , but I had this outfit sitting in a folder for some time now. Just getting around to finishing it. Got frustrated with the skirt & then I had a light bulb go off & I'm going with it. It's important to me to do it without help from 'cheats' if I can. I'll save the Pleat Ring as a last resort.
Quote - 3DFineries, The tricky bit with dynamic cloth is that everything must be welded shut. That is the reason for all the disapointing dynamic stuff without pockets and thickness and seams and belt loops and other details, and most important of all -morphs.
But once you get it right it is worth the trouble, you have something new, I wouldn't say that its like "where no man has gone before" but near enough.
Are you a man or mouse? Make an effort and be a part of the new paradigm shift! You are welcome to ask me anything through the site mail.
To tell the truth, I feel a little lonely.
vintorix,
I didn't know you had to weld dynamic clothes. I never really noticed those little details like belt loops & pockets before you pointed them out, but I'm still learning the ins & outs of Poser. That's interesting.... I don't mind troubleas long as I can avoid the frustration that usually follows. Once I get frustrated though I have to put it down & do something else.
I made it cause I wanted a more authentic Egyptian outfit. I have a render in mind & really needed this style outfit. I still have to model the short kilt, jewelry & sandals. Didn't even think about "going where no man has gone before", but hey I'll take it. Although, I'll have to settle for being a wo"man" instead. Don't want to be a man & I kill mice (& bugs) for a living.
Will drop you a note if I need something for sure though. I really like that coat. Bet it will drape nicely when all is said & done.
Seems I have a bit of an issue with the belt to fix though. The skirt polys are clashing with the belt. I think the angle of the inner edge of the belt is too sharp. Once I figure it out, I'm sure I'll need to ask more questions about other stuff.

A simple render of what it looks like draped. Do you think I'll have problems with overlapping polys? I love how natural dynamic drapes look. The more I use PP2012, the more I love it.

Toxic Wolf,
Yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about. :) However, I need the pleats to go the length of the dress. The overlapping polys is just what I want to avoid. The skirt isn't very open toward the bottom like your example though. It's more so a tight fit around the kalasaris underneath, which is also very tight to the body of V4.
Vintorix,
Quote - A conforming version for Poser is not worth the trouble IMO.
Yeah, I was thinking the same. I don't work with Genesis though. I rarely use DS anymore, but adding compatibility equals better sales potential as you said. Not sure what to do. My Wacom doesn't work too well with DS & Poser is just easier for me now. I love the way my renders come out with less effort.
I'll have to ponder what to do once I see how the polys work together after it's draped & exported.
