I am so having a blast with this goblin. I swear they must be mind readers. When I got the email for the download, I was looking at the part that said about requests, and was thinking about requesting a goblin or troll or some such, and what do you know, I get to the site and thats what they had. And the goblin is great. Wonderful. Now I must go back and play with it. (Don't tell my boss. But hey, who wants to design sprinkler systems when they can play with goblins? ;)

But I used AOL back in '93, and hated the service, but it was all there was. Used it one other time out of necessity when I moved and still hated it, so I pretty much shy away from it. But, tbsro, where is the greed on staale's part "if" this was taken from his texture? He offers his for free, allowing people to change them and redistribute them as long as they are NOT sold. So he is not getting anything our of anything, except the satisfaction that people are liking and using his work honorably.

Geez, everyone. They offered us this stuff for free. No one complained then. They have some server problems...who hasn't once and awhile. Since when has everyone decided to cause such a stink over how someone else runs their website? Even if Steve did do it himself without notice, which we now know he didn't, why couldn't he? After all, it is his site. He has given freely to us for how long? He doesn't owe us the knowledge of what is going on, even though seems to have been more than patient over this. It is HIS site. Except for the people whose stuff he is hosting, no one here has a legitimate complaint. So sit back and wait and stop worrying about something that shouldn't concern us all. I for one, will have no problem paying for access. I have downloaded much of what is on the servers, and have no problem paying for access to help them cover the bandwidth costs. Steve and Rena and all the rest involved, don't worry about this. You do what you have to do, I am sure that I don't speak alone when I say I will support and follow whatever you have to do. You were the first sites I found when I started poser, and I have appreciated all you offered us all since then. Keep up the great work. I know I will be there for it no matter what. Everyone else, let them be. It is their decision how to handle this. They need to do what is best for them, not what is best for us. Yes, we are a community, but not at the expense of the individuals.

lol Marque - Of course it probably would work. I pretty much set my own hours, and have been known to get quite a few paid days off. Ahh, the perks of being in charge of the office. But alas, I am one of the poor late fools who has to wait to get the update. So have fun play with the hair a little extra for me. Since I can't download till the evenings, it will probably be a few days till I can get through with the limit. Oh well, it looks like it is worth the wait.

O.K. So I said I was done posting, but I guess I have changed my mind. And yes, JeffH, I did talk to PhilC in private. But I think you misunderstood some of what I was saying, although, as I said, this didn't look like it was necessarily his situation. I wanted him to see this, but I also wanted the other vendors to see it and take note as well. But, at the advice of some great members who contacted me with some pretty great advice and understanding, I do not plan on dropping of the face of the renderotica planet.

I posted this because... 1 - I Have purchased a large amount of products from the store. I thought if I inadvertently sent a message to a vendor using the wrong name, this would reassure them. 2 - I just thought I could point out to Phil C that something similar might have happened to him, although with everything else, this may be a slim possibility. THAT was an issue in this same forum, so I thought it may be relevant 3 - I didn't realize there was an unposted set of rules for what should or shouldn't be posted. My humble apologies. And I would like the ability to change the material colors of all parts of a figure at the same time, the way you can the textures and trans, etc. I find it quite a pain when I want to white out all of the material colors, or change the ambient color for the whole figure, to have to go through each and every part to do so.

Happens to me as well. I never took the time to find out why. I just set a UI dot and use that to get it back to the way I had it. Maybe someday I will take a look at it. Guess when I open up poser I have too many ideas to bother :)
