While I don't own either VV or MM, I have heard form many people that they are a wonderful product! If I could afford them you can be sure I would buy them both today! Also, yes, you will need vicky and mike to use them. It may hurt, but if you can afford it, go for them today! you won't be disappointed. Styxx

redistribution rights and usage rights are very different things, i'm sure we're all aware. i personally am thrilled every time i see something i've created being used by another artist, whether it's a simple image, or a commercial image, or whatever. i would be thrilled to death if someone put something of mine into a popular game or (omigod!) a movie!!! i've already had a couple of requests, done from common courtesy, not usage stipulations, to use different things in some independant games. i was happy to say yes, thank you kindly for asking! it's creatively stimulating to me when someone else can make use of my creations! it's a natural high :) i think many of us would and do give permission for games and such simply for the thrill, and the most compensation asked for would be credit given.

Hey Dolly, The doorway looks great! lighting would depend on your setting. Is it outside at high noon or the door to some forgotten tomb deep in the bowels of the earth? I see you have what looks like torch holders, so perhaps a couple of omni lights with a flame gel on them? Can't wait to see the finished image! Styxx

When I first got into 3d art, I worked solely with autocad r12. I worked on it so much I started to dream in wireframe.. very disterbing! lol

export in wavefront.obj format. import to max and apply the smooth modifier to it. then open up material manager, and apply your texture map as your diffuse map. apply this to your figure. repeat this for each clothing item and hair. hope this helps :) cheers!

Death Dealer is a favourite of mine too :) this is very good work. i would personally tone the ground yellow down a wee though. other than that, nice perception of depth, good concept of suffering and detached victory. cheers :)
