Hey guys and girls, stop all this positive press about South Africa, it will be real tough if Andreas decide to visit, we can't afford to have ALL the RR members over here! Just kidding!
@TomDart, about the crime: The web page(s) dedicated to take the crime matter to the international community is to put pressure on the government. This was triggered by a minister commenting in parlianment that if South Africans are not happy about crime, they should leave - my own words. Sorry, I know it's not the time and place to mention it in this forum, but I feel the situation should be addressed with this very brief explanation.
Zeldie is right and the crime and security situation will be be taken into consideration by the organisers when deciding upon a venue.

You have been invited...

Thanks SusiQ for the links, I may only follow up and raise my humble voice tonight after having browsed these sites. I still think Pofadder is a good choice for a venue

Do we have an imposter here? Andreas, I thought you were advised to rest that arm and wrist so abused by making the drops fall into the bowl? This is not going to be for the faint hearted seldomly getting a good suntan! Just kidding, you are most welcome!
Place: I don't care as long as it's 1. practical, 2. accessible for all and 3. it sports some photographic opportunity.
Bear in mind we are 4 people coming from Leeudoringstad alone!

@TomDart: Tom now we number exactly 3 South Africans!
@Geert: I dropped Kai (shot-ribs) an offline on Yahoo, inviting him to the forum. So, once the Kiwi's have woken up, I expect reaction. I wouldn't like to have him here though, because he is stiff competition. :tongue2:
To those South African's hiding in the dark - if ever we catch you AFTER this planned weekend, remember I live near a lion farm, we may just decide to make you go away!
Just hang in there, by tonight the forum will get visited.

Where is South Africa? Are there any photographers in South Africa? And what will happen if both photographers turn up, will the camping grounds be big enough?
Gotcha! Just kidding. :tt2:
First reaction: count me in, but hopefully in summer/spring? I am off packing...

What is an "e-Bot"?
What is "Humpday"?
Just kidding, gotcha!
I don't want to isolate just some of the previous comments, because all of them contain caring, positive thoughts. If I have to make a contribution I will echo concerns raised by Geert without elaborating and secondly Odie's (is she a newcomer or what? LOL) plea for loyalty in the second para of her previous contribution.
It is great to be part of you all and a wonderful privilege to have been accepted in this community.
Whis I had a solution to all this because I also have an idea that views and comments are dwindling!!! e-Bots or no e-Bots! In the meantime, I stay put, I am here to stay, thanks to the encouragement from people like Andreas.

Looking at the furred joys in here relieves the work stress and tempts me to also join the I-favour-bigger-dogs syndrome. LOL My dog (Boer bull) does not only enjoy the sun, add food, chairs and swimming to the list and she's OK!Thread: Dogs enjoy sun too !! | Forum: Photography
Great to see the sun loving goofers! The Rhodesian ridgeback is known to bay & flush cantankerous buffalo from the dense jesse or lala palm thickets. Obviously not enough dog to match a Cocker spaniel! LOL

I also broke the rules I guess (BLUSH) I had a picture explaining what I saw in the tree referred to by Kort, and I thought it did not count, but strictly speaking I guess it does, sorry. I removed the first pic since.

I can actually see two distinct faces on Errol's (sharky_) pic, the one is above the baby type face and resembles a gorilla face.
