Thread: HELP HELP !!! MY MONKEY DOESN"T TALK, ( Poser question) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
i know you guys don't want PoserSpeak, but darn this is exactly why i developed it. If anyone else reading doesn't want to pay the $200.00 for mimic and not have to go through making custom morphs (yuck). Check out PoserSpeak. To turn on or off the eye animations for example, you simply click the eyes checkbox on or off. Same for mouth and brows too. Also works right out of the box on the monkey no need to first own v3, then export a special morph then try and figure out why it's not working.

This tool records a wav file from your speech which Poser does use. This means you can also use this wav file in any other program you wish. Also, i have to disagree with the last statement a bit. I do not make voices so i am not even biased, but the three voices you get for free with microsoft are the ones which sound like robots. AT&T, Cepstral, and NeoSpeech however all have some new voices out which are truly remarkable in my opinion. They far exceed what most folks are used to from speech engines. I would recommend you consider trying one or several of these voices, they are very well done.

The monkey works great with PoserSpeak! Open the monkey in Poser, select the head, open PoserSpeak, click on Morph tab, choose the morphs you want to route to his existing mouth open morphs! hope this helps, james trueThread: P6 File >> Import Sound >> CRASH! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

wow! thanks ockham. you rock! i love how the Poser PDF manual never bothers to tell you there is not a call to add/delete the total number of frames. I've been stabbing for a solution and here it is. thanks again.
Thread: Python Radio Button Help | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
you are right it used to say noiseV. Boy i have really screwed this whole thread up. So my fix overwrote my previous py's version with the problem, which i thought i had posted to this thread. anyways, sorry. still i know it didn't work till i applied the patch. I think the better post would have been to say, does anyone have a working example of using a Radiobutton in a python script and return the value properly? Yeah, i should have said that. :) cheers. james

in case nobody discovers the problem, i have one work around. Namely, i created three separate command handlers for each radio button. This seems wrong but it solves the problem. So the script above will work if the lines with the handler def noiseTypeCB(self): are changed to def noiseTypeCB1(self) def noiseTypeCB2(self) def noiseTypeCB3(self)And each radio button's command call needs the correct function number too. Again this seems wrong, but it works. Also, anyone wanting this script can get it from my site as part of the free PoserPython Vol I collection. I just added this noise script to Vol I. It was not in there before this morning.
Thanks for reading.

I also have a tool i wrote in perl. It only runs on Windows however. It's called PoserPorter. I am giving it away for free right now on my site. It let's you drop zip archives on it and it auto installs them in up to 5 Poser installations. But more importantly, it lets you export any library folder as a zip. This zip could then be dropped back onto the tool on your laptop for quick install. I am interested in getting feedback on this program so please try it out. Shoot, shoot shoot. seven days later and it shows up in the store. i feel like an ijut. Today, the original karate suit was added to the store :( That means all the new textures and quads and stuff are NOT in the first karate suit. Nanoshi and compiler. i still want your test results. I tried to remove or update my original listing in the store but no luck. Anyways, didn't want that to throw anybody off. Also, you are right this belongs in the development forum.
