One thing you can try is checking the "Cloth Self-Collision" option in the Simulation Settings dialog. The calculations may take longer, but it might save it from crashing.

A screen shot or render at frame 11 might help ... one thing I suspect is that the clothing is getting bunched up, either intersecting with itself or with the character.

Thanks PBM! And I agree, dirk ... sometimes it seems as far as CL and DAZ go, it's "damned if you do, damned if you don't." I was one of those who got P5 early. And it didn't work on my machine until Service Pack 4, when I really started using it. I am giving it another shot because I agree with geep ... dollar for dollar, it's the most enjoyment I have ever received from ANY software program. And that includes 3DS Max and LightWave I love those programs as well, but I am TOTALLY hooked on Poser! LOL.

quickly restore a V3 to default body/head shape It's in Poser ... Edit > Restore > Figure should do that for you. It returns characters to default shape and pose (which may not necessarily be zero pose) >> save MAT poses There are some utilities here in Free Stuff as well as the Marketplace for that feature.

Poser 4 has the same capability to render to a new window ... is this what you mean when you say you are opening a new doc window? Anyway, choose Render Options in P4, and select the "Render to New Window" option. It also has the Match Document Window Size command as well.

I find this "secret revealed" stuff to be unprofessional.
Quite the contrary. Keeping people on the edge of their seats builds up excitement and interest in a product. It's called marketing. 8-)
I like the little tidbits of info. And I'm waiting for a check to clear before I push that "pre-order" button. 8-) Have done it every release since Version 1. Ain't gonna stop now. 8-)

Right ... you need to change the dimensions of the document window, and make it more like a portrait ... you know, like an 8 x 10 photo. I think the command is Window > Document Window Size, and then you can enter new document dimensions. Try something like 400 wide and 500 high (which would give approximately the same aspect ratio as an 8 x 10 photo). You'll probably have to adjust your camera again afterwards.

If you want to move the body upward, you can select either the HIP or the BODY, and adjust the YTran value upward to raise her off the floor.
