Oh, and an easy way to delete the background is to select it with your Magic Wand, tolerance high, feather by 1, hit the "delete"key. Or do just what I said, but after selecting and feathering, invert the selection, hit Ctrl+J and a new layer will be created with just the figure. That way the original is left alone.
Render against a solid black or white background. Makes it easier.

This is a Mac site but will apply to both. Tutorial is in three parts and you get some free brushes that are perfect for adding texture to skin.
Thread: CS1 Brushe Won't Show Up in CS2 | Forum: Photoshop
Are you sure that CS1 brushes are compatable with CS2? Or...are you choosing "Load" brushes and navigating to the folder where the brush is stored?

Thread: Where to find fonts for Photoshop | Forum: Photoshop
If you have fonts that you only want to use in Photoshop, install them in the Common Files directory. C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobeFonts
In the AdobeFonts folder they will only slow down Photoshop in start up, not the entire system.

Or you can do a batch of them and put more than one in a pattern file. Just go to File>Automate>Batch and fill in the fields to tell Photoshop where to look for the folder. OOPs! You need to make an action that will run to get this done. Just create a new action and do one graphic. Then you use that action in the automate dialog to process a whole folder at once. It's so fast!
Another thing I just discovered is a bug fix in CS2 that used ot drive me crazy in P7. To save or delete the patterns or any other preset, I used to have to shift-click on every single pattern or preset. What a drag when you have a 100. But now in CS you can hit the first and then shift or ctr., (forgotten which) and all are selected. Thank you Adobe!!!!! A great time saver and sense of humour saver when you're making pats of all your texture files.
Thread: Plugins with Photoshop CS 2 | Forum: Photoshop
Clarity is a frightening thing isn't it? I never realized that by giving CS the path to P7 plugins, that the native plugins would be included and would cause problems.
I've actually avoided switching entirely to CS because I thought the plugins I rely on a lot wouldn't work.
Color me dumb.
Thread: Miki Eyeballs and Magnets? | Forum: Poser Technical
Yes, bending is off and they're not locked. That's something I always check because poses usually mess up my figure before I have a chance to apply my own pose file that locks all the settings.
I just used the Scale dial to make them larger. The only problem there is that , when rotating them from side to side, the eye socket pokes through when they hit far left or right. Looks like it's flat and the eyeball is round, of course. So it's OK when centered but has problems when looking from either side.
Sigh!!!! I'm hoping that the remake will be much better.
Oh, I was able to resize the eyeballs in Blacksmith. But not to my liking and I would rather do it with magnets but just can't get them to grow.
Don't worry about it. Something will click.
Thread: Dual core vs. single core Athlon64, some test results.4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow. Some truly great information. You work for them don't you? I'm just kidding. I have to chew on this a bit and throw it back at my brother who's going to tell me that I don't need most of it. Price, is of course, important and commercial systems are just so overpriced. Of course if I could work faster I could produce faster. So... Thank you!
Thread: Dual core vs. single core Athlon64, some test results.4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Been lurking for some time because I need a new computer and have no idea what to look for. My brother has promised to build me one and got stuck with something so now I'm looking commercial. Running Poser 6, Bryce, Vue Infinite, Photoshop, Deep Paint and P3dO. Right now I have 1 gig ram and a 64 mg video card. I watch screen redraw. Didn't have this when doing web graphics but now I'm doing textures and trying to jump back and forth between programs and I often see portions of Photoshop and Poser overlayed on each other and am generally going crazy. I want to have Poser, P3dO, Photoshop all open at the same time. Very difficult and everything takes forever to do. I wait and wait and wait and forget rendering anything more than one figure at a time. I haven't got enough time left on earth to do that. And render in Vue? Ha! I don't care how noisy the thing is. I have ringing in the ears and live near a highway. My concern is keeping the dog hair out of it. Need motherboard that will support two hard drives. One fast for system and one massive for graphics. Got the new Dell wide 24 inch flat screen monitor as a gift and have never been able to use it with this system because my graphic card won't support the resolution necessary. So it's time. So who do I give my credit card to and go into debt for the next ten years? Anybody who can guide greatly appreciated. If this is too much trouble, just a link would be helpful. Thanks!!!

I think the included Apollo eyes are just fine but prefered Deecey's eyes for the character I did. Thanks very much Deecey, this is a fantastic collection and so many to choose from! I often spend a lot of time switching eye textures just to see how they'll change the character.
I have the original that came with the character, Syyd's that are a part of the texture package, and the ones from Deecey. I haven't tried Actual Eyes. I think the eye white that Deecey did is very real and the variety provided is more than enough to find exactly what you're looking for.
Though it's really just personal opinion, they're all good.
Does the 8-D mean eight days? I have a product in pending for Miki and it just seems to take forever these days.
And as for the rant...the ability to say what you need to say with a certain amount of politeness and consideration helps keep life civilized. Old Southern expression, "You get more flies with honey," generally rings true. And I don't care if that sounds preachy. Even a Troll should know better.

OK, now I'm embarrased. Usually I keep the ReadMe in the file somewhere so that I know exactly who did them. I've looked and can't find them available anymore, so....I'm hoping you're right. They're truly excellant eyes! It's just awful to get old and forgetful.
What I really like about this figure is the ability to take him from realistic to comic so easily. Jungle Dude makes me want to do comics. He's adorable! Oh, to have the time...
And. I hope you're working on a girlfriend for him.

Hi operaguy,
I thought I responded before but must have hit the wrong button. Hair is from Ali. I think it's Hr-013. But it's not right out of the box. I did a lot of work on it.
Texture is Syyd's from RDNA...eyes were free I think and I just can't remember where I got them. If I can remember I'll post that later.
