Thread: More and more uses for this fractal program | Forum: Bryce
Yeah, I'm playing with it now, and it IS interesting! Not really sure what I'm doing, but it's a lot of fun - and my French is improving by the second...

Thread: Apologized to lady Cherry yet?* | Forum: Community Center
Well, I'd like to know the answer to your questions too. I'm a little worried that posting to this thread might get me the rep of being a troublemaker here - which is why it's taken me a while to respond. On the whole, I like R'osity, and I don't want to make waves - but I hate the way this topic has just been abandoned with no transparent resolution. Asher - if you're not going to respond any further, could you at least say so, so we know where we stand? Equally, Lady Cherry - if this has advanced any further (and after all, it was you who brought it to our attention) - would you mind updating us? I just dislike the way it's been left - as though we'll all forget about it if no-one tells us any more. If you've resolved it between yourselves, it would be nice to know! Thanks in advance!
Thread: Why Did This Poser Thread Get Locked? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Could someone just clarify something for me? Did all this kick off because of the pic that was posted in the original thread - the one with the cop and the girl IN A DRESS in it? If so, I am now totally bewildered, 'cos I didn't spot any nudity there. Perhaps I need my eyes tested, or perhaps I've totally misunderstood - someone help me out here!

REM = remove, INJ = inject. Once you've injected the morph, you then have to use the morph dials (on the right hand side of your screen) to apply it to your figure! Hope that helps - it can be very confusing to start with!
Thread: Ill try here as well...O.O | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ah, Crescent, chillis are of course only available outside the US! (Mea culpa!);P As for this chile stuff/thing - never 'eard of it, mate! And it's white pepper, not that contintental black stuff - didn't taste that 'til I was over 21! (Actually, that bit is true, but I had a sheltered childhood!)

I take issue with the description of Cornish pasties as 'bland'! Correctly made, they are marvels of peppery taste - though perhaps a little too subtle for an American palette scorched by all that Mexican chilli heat! ;) <--- please note the smiley! Neither are they 'rolls' - they're made from pastry, and have a distinctive crescent shape, with a fluted and crimped seam where the edges are joined together. They can contain meat and potatoes, but it's more common to find the potatoes enhanced with the addition of mashed swede or other root vegetable. Some say that it was traditional for one end of the pastie to be filled with meat etc (flavoured with white pepper), and the other with a sweet filling, like apple, thus providing a substantial two course meal, which could be held in one hand by Cornish fishermen and mine workers. A proper Cornish pastie is a delight! (Never thought I'd be writing about them here, though!)

Just wondering if this thread has run its course, or are we all waiting on a more responsive response from the PTB? Any progress at your end, Lady Cherry?

Just registering my presence and interest in this thread. Seems so far to be a case of 'we think you're guilty, therefore we'll act as though you are without giving you a chance to show that you're not'. Not very fair, IMHO - at least give the accused a chance to defend themselves before carrying out the sentence! If things had been handled that way, then we probably wouldn't be seeing this increasingly long thread... which is (yet again) damaging the image of Renderosity. And don't get me wrong, I like this place, and much of the time I sympathise with the mods and admins, who are forever facing moans and groans, no matter what they do. Does Renderosity actually employ someone who is responsible for PR - or customer relations? If not, perhaps they should - so many of these controversies could be avoided with a little more thought before action. It's not what you do, it's the way that you're seen to do it!
Thread: Dear DAZ: The name "Freak" disturbs me a bit | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't know whether they'd change it or not, but I don't like it, either. I'm far from politically correct most of the time, but I just don't like the connotations of a human figure being called 'Freak'. Reminds me of Victorian freak shows where unfortunates like Joseph Merrick were gawped at. Nasty.

Thread: Picture | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
..and if it were me, I'd make the freak's pose a little more dynamic - as it is, the picture is very still - perhaps he could be doing something along the lines of pressing against the glass with his hands? Just as a contrast between the machinery and robot and the living flesh... I agree this has potential!
Thread: Renderosity going offline for 2hrs | Forum: Community Center
Thanks for putting the announcement on the front page! It was good to see it there when the site came back up again ! Only kidding - I know people are working hard in the background, and I feel for them!
