Can you be more specific? What looks horrible, the photoshop textures you apply on your models?

I agree, making the snow a lil but uneven could add to the image. Other than that it's really nice, i like the snowman :)

Ugh that sucks. But sometimes a lil break from the net/comp and even 3D is a good one. You come back with more inpiration and will to work. My cat likes to walk on my keyboard, or even lie on it, which is really annoying since he's a huge one, and taking him off the keyboard usualy results in a big mess on the table and half of the things falling down lol.

Thread: The value placed on realism in 3D work--what's that about? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think that achieving realism in 3D is a challange, for me anyway. I create both things, realistic and non realistic, but when someone thinks that a 3D image i made is a photo i feel like i'v acomplished something, but that's just my personal view. Besides, as you know beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Same with art. There are many styles of "art" that i dont like, understand, and wouldnt even call art. But other people would, and that's okay, the point is creating something. Personaly i like realism in 3D and art, but also enjoy the more painterly images. But as i said, that's just my opinion, and people have a lot of those, and different ones. Elantriell~

Thanks for the suggestions, i was thinking about trying the hdri thing in here but it came out as an awfuly long render and i hate those, especialy if it's just a "goofing around" image. A 500x370 image with high-rez options takes about 10-11hr to render because of the light dome, and with hdri it takes ages. But expect some pure hdri images from me soon.

Thanks for the comment :) I dont think your monitor is blurry, i work on a very light one and therefore on dark ones or even normal ones lol my works tend to seem to dark/blurry/lack details.
