I agree with everything you said! Blurbs would probably go a long way to clear quite a few things up.

In my case, I didn't pay attention to the animation since it isn't my thing. So you animation guys can hammer that out amongst yourselves, I have nothing to add in that department

I did however pay close attention to the 3D and 2D category and I can tell you for a fact that something went wrong with that judging. I don't think that anyone can look through those categories and tell me that the best images won, are there some good images in the winners brackets, yes. Are the best images there, not really, but since art is subjective this basically is just my opinion, but I know a thing or two about art and I don't seem to be the only one who is thinking along these lines. I don't have a thing against the artists in this contest, they haven't done anything wrong in this thing. If they won a prize, I say enjoy it! This whole situation is stemming from the judging.

As for sour grapes, I already admitted that there were images on there that blew mine right out of the contest, but the thing that gets me hot under the collar is the fact that none of them were even mentioned.

Just doesn't seem right.

Wolf2001, I am curious, are you trying to say that Renderosity should have respected EVERYONES vote and moved all 246 pictures to the semifinals? The last time I checked the whole concept behind a contest was that you eliminate people by rounds and in that regard some peoples votes are going to be for naught. I am also curious as to how you and your friends figured out that your votes specifically were not counted. Did you have a piece of art in this contest? I'm not being a big mouth either, I'm just trying to figure out what you are so bent out of shape about.

Here is part of the rules for the contest that you might have overlooked. # Judging: The top 25 winning entries will be selected by Community Vote.(The community voting results will be reviewed. The winners will be determined by the actual number of eligible votes received. Clone voting and votes from accounts created for the exclusive purpose of voting are not eligible and will not be counted.) The Renderosity admins merely did what they said they were going to do from day 1.

I agree, lets wait and see what the final tally is. I admit I am as upset as anyone else, but I am going to hold off until the admins have a shot at making this contest legit and they have already stated that they have measures in place to weed out the fraud, so, let's give them the benefit of the doubt. I miss the days when a contest such as this was won with talent and a great piece of artwork and not how many friends you can dredge up to vote for you. Oh well, lesson learned, no more contests for me.
