Re: Materials
Some vendors produce a large number of Lips diffuse textures. I wonder - could you get equally acceptable results by using a Bump/displacement map to provide a contour (smooth to crinolinated) and use a node to provide the color? Save a lot of HD space in textures.

Jaw movement- for a snake - with jaws that can unhinge - translation. and z rotation
For human, I am thinking rotation - X axis at back -high up - y axis bisecting x axis location. no z rotation.
Thread: Sculpting or Modeling... Which Gives Better Results? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I suggest that Amapi (or Rhino) are not the best choices for producing items for use in Poser. Amapi uses a method based on NURBS (in the main). It makes for smooth and precise curves, mostly because it supplies as many points as needed to generate them. This makes for an OBJ conversion product that has an untenable number of polys as far as being practical for use in Poser. It is my experience that in using a program to reduce polys automatically - the result is not a reduction where and how you would do it if modelled in a native Mesh Form modeller.
Now that it produces quads, would not Marvelous Designer be the choice to produce clothing for Poser?
Because I come at this from a morphing point of view, I have been unclear about the difference between modelling and sculpting. Looking at it for generating a new object, I can see the difference. I think that if it is something that has or could have a blueprint a CAD type method would produce a more precise result - modelling(?). For an organic subject without preconceived proportions -sculpting(?).

I think this explains why a vendor is advertizing sales saying that after 10/31 Win 7 Ult will no longer be available as OEM on their systems. If there is going to be a new Win 10 in a few months, relax and wait seems to be a prudent course to take.

Thread: point at to keyframe | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
Theory: if -point at- is a key function, it should be open to being null. It sorta depends on how it is implemented in the CR2. Open the CR2/PP2 in a Poser editor and look at how it is in there.
After long observation of various problems, I suspect that the best way to do an animation is to render it as a series of stills and use another program to convert them into a movie. But for the possible cost of the conversion program, I do not see a down side to this CYA method. No loss on a Poser crash, ability to try various codecs, easy insertion of flash cards if desired.
With your problem, it would mean turning off -point at- in the CR2 before rendering the 2nd segment.

To see if the file is at fault, you could open the PZ3 in a Poser file editor and examine the paths. If they are at fault, text edit them to the correct path.
Yes, a PZ3 is much larger than a CR2 what with all the lights and such, but an editor that has things collapsed still allows easier navigation.

Given the amount of info that you have supplied, I am guessing that the hair prop is huge ( large number of polys ). Spawning a prop should not change that.
If you run it thru Poser Game Dev, is the product small enough and still useful?
Thread: creating and saving props within Poser Pro 2014 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you are setting this up in Poser and using it in Poser, why are you exporting the prop?
I have not tried this, but Once you have the parent and its children set up, why not select the parent and save it to the Library as a character?
Thread: GoZ morph distortion ! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Did you morph along the long axis and involve the next group down? It looks like you tried to make the legs longer using a morph.
That should be done using the scale dial for that axis.
Morphs do not simulate rotations very well (the verts move in a straight line between 0 and 1.0.
Morphs do not work well if you move the end verts outside the rotation zones. Just theory, but I think you could pull this off -IF the morph pose also had data that moved the end points and rotation zones - it seems that most any variable in a CR2 can be changed using an appropriate pose. But the work involved would not be worth the result when Yscale(?) does it easily.

Vilters, what you are describing is a character. It would be a bad thing if a default figure came with a base mesh with the breasts that you describe, indeed, bad if it comes as a character at all. However, since most see a figure as presented by its CR2, it would be nice for a base figure to come with morphs that do what you wish and have that morph preset to 1.0 by default.
At least for me, it is easier to morph larger than smaller. I would prefer a base mesh that is flat chested with enough polys there to support relatively large shapes. And as Zev0 sorta says, the way the mesh is laid out should follow major muscle groups, boney protrusions, tendons etc. Morphers shoud not have to guess where they are.
The base mesh should be developed with morphing in mind. The figure as presented should be morphed into an attractive character. The problem with the presentation morph being added to other character morphs can be solved by a separate Off pose and or the pose files producing another character can turn the presentation character off.

How about a 7-11?
Poser World has released one this month. They seem to be on a retail buildings kick right now.
Thread: Post here if you Primarily use V4 in Poser. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Because of what Vilters said an investment in V4 content I have been digging around in the V4 CR2. (I very much like (as with Dawn) being able to drive all bends and morphs from BODY and I am stuck once again doing methods research.)
Am I correct in thinking? =
the actor body Morphs section and link parms sections are DS components only? Can be deleted with no effect on the figure in Poser?
With V4WM - no V4.2++ JCM or magnets are needed (The 3 pairs of breast magnets may be worth keeping.)?
Is the PoserPlace V4WM conversion different from AlfaSeed conversion? When WM converted, V4 is just as modern as any other figure in Poser?
One other aspect of V4 content though - with the functions in PP2014 - Texture Converter (Blacksmith) and Netherworks Hair conversion - much of V4 can be adapted to Dawn and Roxie - and excluding textures most any other figure.

For that - finding in storage - I am thinking that ya need to figure out how you categorize an item - reproducably. It needs to be filed in a way that two years from now, Ya still think of it the same way. Finding something you know you have, is one thing. Finding something that you forgot you have, or just bought on a whim, browsing the stacks, as it were, Ya need to take time a figure out how YOU think.
Hair, I'm thinking: very long, long, medium, short, very short, strange.
Clothing - is a problem for me.
Props - mimic Target or another retailor?
If you have expansion products, if a product comes with props, if everything is not a a single folder = with subs, how will you even know you have them? The way these things come, the names used, is eccentric and best. Half the time, a template will not sort with its main file in a folder of zips, never mind any extension products. Once unpacked, the naming is usually vendor ego-centric, certainly not Dewey decimal organized.
A product like P3DO Explorer shows a thumb for folder or zip, so you could render a jpeg of what is in a folder and figure out how to name the render so it was what is picked to show.
Or - do a render of each item - name it with the item file name - and keep them in a card catalog type folder and do a slide show of the pix, stop on one you want and do a FIND using the render name.
