Poser doesn't always tell you the truth. You often get the "out of memory" error message when Poser can't find a geometry file for an item. Poser will usually tell you it can't find the geometry file first, then it gives you the "out of memory" error message.

Oh comeon guys. There was a Poser 4 demo! It didn't keep folks from buying "the real thing."

I just resize to 200x200 and save for web, and use the jpg format. (Adobe PhotoShop). It works like a charm.

Will Curious Labs offer to send a CD to those of us who have dialup modems? One of the files (20MB?!) would take 2 hours to download, and that's only if it came out ok the first time. Unfortunately I can't tie up my family's phone line that long.

What accommodations does Curious Labs have for those of us who have a dialup modem?! I shudder to think of the time it will take to download this stuff.

But read the info on the update. It's a week or so old, and says you can get the update in a few hours!

Oh great, now Tailor has totally disappeared from the DAZ Store again. Can't find it by a search. I tried to use the feedback form, or send an email, but it won't work if you have web-based email like me. Come on, don't these guys know what they're doing? *** That Poser 5 problem has existed for months, so it's not any news. Codetwister had posted a response here at Renderosity, basically saying he didn't have any plans to update The Tailor for Poser 5. He felt The Tailor was no longer necessary. Then Codetwister said he may have misjudged the need, and would think about it. Then, recently, DAZ came out with an update. If the update was Beta, why in the heck would they have offered it on the product page? Doesn't the right hand know what the left is doing?

They must be working on updating the web site. Now it's there, but there is a message stating you can't get the 1.5 update for a few hours. Better call it a night.

Hay, it's great that you're now fully functional. You'll get used to the Switch Banks procedure. PBooost is a god send. And hogwarden (Howard) is the greatest!

The biggest thing we need to do in order to help PBooost work is to use CorrectReference on EVERY item in our Poser installation. If you install something new, run CorrectReference on that new item. I'm not kidding when I say every item! It would also help a lot if someone took care of any programs such as Corel Indexing that interfere with the proper operation of your operating system. (In addition to the info provided here.) You can probably find more info on that subject in the Windows XP newsgroups?! I just got to the point where I handled it as a matter of course. I use parts of Corel Draw 8. As for converting to NTFS, I advocate doing it totally. That means backup any important stuff, wipe the drive(s), and then redo in NTFS. It's the best way to get it right. I was one of the early ones who couldn't switch banks with Windows XP Home and NTFS. At least that inspired Howard to get Windows XP Home, and find the solution: CorrectReference. Now I'm using my Dad's computer (long story) with Windows ME, and FAT32. PBooost works like a charm. Of course I'd rather have my own computer again!!!

Something just doesn't sound right here. What do you mean "switch to the more organized structure?!" You should be in this structure when you're using PBooost. In otherwords, PBoost takes your Poser installation and allows you to reorganize it. You are not working outside your Poser installation. When you tried to switch, did you get any error messages? Did you read Howard's tutorials?! Have you run CorrectReference to fix all your texture references? Bad texture references cause Poser/PBooost to lockup. I think you might want to do a search in this forum for PBooost and invest some time in research.
